Disadvantages: Keyboard design is awkward for some

...is the company it was bought from and not Acer themselves. *FURTHER UPDATE - October 2006* It turned out that the power pack was faulty, which was causing the machine to do strange things! It was replaced no problem and I had my computer back within the week. ... Read review

Review for th ACER TravelMate 3012WTMi
Review of Acer TravelMate 3012WTMi - Core Duo T2300 1.66 GHz - 12.1" TFT by bluedel

Advantages: Great Battery, Small Size, Fast Processor.
Disadvantages: No Decent Word Processor, Low Number of USB Ports

Acer are a relatively new up and coming brand from the USA (or so I'm told!) As the brand is not fully established yet, your getting great value for money when considering the high spec features of the Acer laptops, This particular model I bought 3 months ago as a replacement for my PC. Work commitments had changed and I really needed something portable - and this Acer certainly is that! About the size of an A4 paper and so lightweight, the laptop ...
...buy Microsoft Office separately The Acer is provided with an external CD Drive, which is sometimes a little inconvenient to pull out if you're on the move. Also, if you are wanting to copy CD - CD, you will need another external drive which would use an extra port, or extra time would have to be spent ripping the disk then burning again. But this is a disadvantage to most laptops I think. Now I'm not a laptop expert, nor to I know many people with ... Read review

One book worth a read.
Review of Apple iBook G4 - PPC G4 1 GHz - 14.1" TFT by Ideate

Advantages: Functionality, Speed, Look
Disadvantages: Minimal

Having not owned an Apple product before, i took a leap of faith into the unknown when i decided to buy this version, now i've had it for over 2years and i am still impressed. Even now it doesn't seem outdated with its slim 14" screen, sleek apple touch keyboard, and white gloss finish. It comes as standard with a 'slot' style loading drive which saves time and potential breakages. The laptop comes with quite a few trick features including colour ...
...hard drive - incase you drop it! The only niggles on this model are the USB port being on the left side which can make apple mice a reach for right handed people and its clunky 'plastic' style click on the track buttons. For the money prepare to be impressed! ... Read review

Its weight is approximatily around 5.6 lbs. Video editing can be done on this laptop with great ease and comfort coz it is one of the main specification of the laptop. While it is also good for multimedia and burning ...
