Advantages: Cheep laptop, resonable quality
Disadvantages: Spend a little more, get a faster laptop

I have been using this laptop for a couple of months and I think, for the money, this is an exceptional piece of equipment. My couple of gripes are long charging time, the right mouse button feels loose, it now takes a very long time to boot up (it was fine new and I have not added much software) and a very limiting hard drive. Disadvantages: RAM is low.

This was bought for me as a company laptop in October 2006. Considering it was at the cheaper end of business laptops at the time it is not bad. Graphics are reasonable, although unsurprisingly no good for gaming. The 512mb of ram isn\'t really enough when trying to manipulate large documents. ...1gb of ram. The screen is crisp and clear, and the brightness levels are easily adjusted via the keyboard. It is very simple to use, and the mousepad is a comfortable distance from the keyboard. The Dell Inspiron 600m is an amazing laptop, even for just the beginner laptop-user. I've used alot of laptops in my time and this laptop actually stays with me, as it is a good laptop, and can take a beating at any time, if you're worried about it.
