Review of Fujitsu Siemens LifeBook S7110 Value - Core Duo T2500 2 GHz - 14.1" TFT by
philglen
Advantages: Good Performance
Disadvantages: Not easy to use as a programmer
Having bought this product second hand I feel I can objectively give my opinion on how well this product performs, as I was not biased at the point of sale by its looks, or features. As a web developer I use computers almost constantly so ease of use is of utmost importance, and unfortunately for me I do not find this a user friendly piece of equipment.
Let me start with the positives. It is a nice size and although quite heavy it is of good build ... ...can be viewed from an angle which is ideal for presenting to a client. Performance wise it is pretty quick and can handle several heavy weight applications open at once, i.e. Photoshop, Illustrator & Dreamweaver.
However I expected a higher resolution than 1024 x 768 for such a high priced business machine. (Any other web developers out there will know that it simply is not big enough). Also because it is quite small in size the keyboard layout ...

ACER ASPIRE 5315
Review of Acer Aspire 5315-051G12Mi - Celeron M 530 1.73 GHz - 15.4" TFT by
Art007
Advantages: Reliable, affordable, easy to use, 15.4" screen. 80GB hard drive.
Disadvantages: Poor mouse keypad. (aren't they all like that?)
I have one and it is much better than any PC I have used. Mainly because of it's practicality. I can go 600 miles away with my broadband dongel and use it without any problems. I find it light, extremely reliable. I did choose the basic Windows package as I have no need for all the pointless extras and the Celeron works well. Fully charged my battery lasts about 2 hours without power. It's 15.4" Screen is a perfect size. Make sure you clear your ... ...any computer. I bought it in June 2008 for £270, very good. It has three USB Inputs, I would recommend a mouse with it as the mouse keypad is poor, though I haven't found a laptop with a good one yet. It is easy to use, very user friendly and providing you don't completely fill the hard drive it is quick. ...

Macbook - best buy!!
Review of Apple MacBook Core 2 Duo 2.4 GHz - 13.3" TFT by
gem_123
Advantages: quick, reliable, small and easy to use.
Disadvantages: battery life not as long as would be preferred.
Definitely an excellent buy!! I've recently started uni and this macbook was my first investment. All classmates have them and they are unmistakably the preferred choice to an ordinary pc. Slightly different to how a normal pc functions but quick and easy to get used to. I haven't had any problems and have loved it since the day i bought it. Its fast, reliable, small and easy to slot in your bag and take with you and lets face it, it definitely looks ...

Excellent budget laptop
Review of Acer Aspire 5315-051G12Mi - Celeron M 530 1.73 GHz - 15.4" TFT by
magenta1234
Advantages: Price, look, reliability
Disadvantages: Memory size, but adequate for basic users
I got my Acer Aspire 5315 as the freebie laptop when I signed up for mobile broadband at the Carphone Warehouse. I knew if there was no extra cost for it it would be a lower end of the market machine, which it is, however I'm pleasantly surprised. It's not a machine which has a huge capacity, 1GB and 80GB hard drive, but for users like me who just want to store a few current documents and photos and surf the net it's more than adeqaute. The 15.4" ... ...and the laptop is as pretty as any closed, if a little cheaper looking on the inside. Mine has been running without any hitches and start up time is excellent. A few minor quirks to get used to... the touch sensitve mouse pad is quite rough to the touch and a little jerky and the disc drawer is a stubborn old thing, you need to slam it closed. Not a bad under £300 buy. You get what you pay for as far as the spec goes but if you want a reliable little ...

Review of Dell Studio 15 by
rizzu87
Advantages: beautiful design, wide range of configurations, good battery life, fast
Disadvantages: no HDMI audio, blows hot air from fan
Dell studio 15 is a 15.4" dell laptop which has a good range of features and a handy specifications. The price of this laptop is $800 in the market which is good because of the wide range of specification and features.
Build and design:
Studio 15 is a little heaver than other notebooks in its class like the studio 17 which was a 17" laptop had less weight as compared to the studio 15. While the design of the notebook gives it the appearance that ... ...Noise and heat:
The Dell studio 15 does control heat very well. The fan blows out very hot air though when heavy applications are used but the whole laptops never get heated and the noise is very low thats the best part.
Battery Life:
On the normal mode and brightness 50% the bettery gives around 3hours 45 min of service. Which is really very good for this type of a laptop.
The dell studio 15 notebook is a solid offering 15" consumer notebook. ...
