Review of Fujitsu Siemens LifeBook S7110 Value - Core Duo T2500 2 GHz - 14.1" TFT by philglen

Advantages: Good Performance
Disadvantages: Not easy to use as a programmer

Having bought this product second hand I feel I can objectively give my opinion on how well this product performs, as I was not biased at the point of sale by its looks, or features. As a web developer I use computers almost constantly so ease of use is of utmost importance, and unfortunately for me I do not find this a user friendly piece of equipment. Let me start with the positives. It is a nice size and although quite heavy it is of good build ...
...can be viewed from an angle which is ideal for presenting to a client. Performance wise it is pretty quick and can handle several heavy weight applications open at once, i.e. Photoshop, Illustrator & Dreamweaver. However I expected a higher resolution than 1024 x 768 for such a high priced business machine. (Any other web developers out there will know that it simply is not big enough). Also because it is quite small in size the keyboard layout ... Read review

Review of Fujitsu Siemens AMILO Pro V3405 Edition - Core Duo T2050 1.6 GHz - 14.1" TFT by laurennbabydoll

Advantages: smart and quite compact, excellent fast speed, great value for money
Disadvantages: nothing that i have come across so far.

...etc. I came across the Fujitsu Siemens Amilo Pro V3405. I found this laptop at only £430 on the Comet website so I advise shopping around when looking for a new laptop as some sites or shops offer much better deals than others. I've never purchased a laptop before, so didn't have much knowledge on what type to get and what it should have. But what I do know was that I needed a fast processor, and this was a perfect choice. Coming equipped with an ...
...I do not spend a while waiting around for the laptop to open, close or run programs, and also it makes multi-tasking very easy and fast paced. This laptop came fully installed with Windows XP Home although it is Windows Vista capable. It basically has everything required of a good, easy to use laptop. Four USB ports, a CD and DVD/RW drive, wireless enabled or modem, a fast processor and many other exceptional features. This laptop isn't just extremely ... Read review

Fujitsu Siemens AMILO Pro V3205 Review
Review of Fujitsu Siemens AMILO Pro V3205 Edition - Core Solo T1300 1.66 GHz - 12.1" TFT by bruce8250

Advantages: Good all-rounder with decent spec, very portable and comes with Windows XP Pro
Disadvantages: Not as robust as a thinkpad, a hassle to install and hard disk gets quite warm

Had the PC a couple of days and so far so good. My main criteria was to get an ultra-portable so at £600-800 this represents great value for a 1.7kg machine. That having been said it probably is not as robust as an equivalent Vaio or Thinkpad but these are often twice the price. Overall the machine is pretty well put together and looks very elegant. The keyboard could be a little firmer in its action however its not bad. The other real benefits ...
...essential for my type of work and the inclusion of Windows XP Professional is great for business users. The system also comes with lots of connection options (4 USB2, Firewire, Network, modem, etc). Most of these are on the side. The external monitor connector is DVI, however my box had a converter so you use it on your existing monitor cable. Wireless connectivity works fine but not tried the Blue Tooth yet or burnt any discs on the DVD (Nero ... Read review

A Lifebook to make Life Easier
Review of Fujitsu Siemens LifeBook T4210 - Core Duo T2500 2 GHz - 12.1" TFT by Odysseus4

Advantages: Really small and easy to transport
Disadvantages: Gets a little hot plus finding a smaller enough case not easy!

...following are the specs: Fujitsu Siemens Lifebook T4120 Intel T2400 @ 1.83Ghz Core Duo 512mb Memory 12.1" LCD Display CD/DVD Re-writer Running Windows XP Pro Tablet PC Version The main selling point for us (OK well for him) was the compact size and relatively light weight. The machine is fast and silent but does get rather hot if used for long periods - which means I need to get a lap tray for my husband's knees! Battery life (in the real world) ...
...what makes this laptop different from others on the market is that the screen rotates and folds down over the keyboard turning the conventional laptop into a pen activated tablet PC in either landscape or portrait format. The pen works well and the handwriting recognition is surprisingly accurate although the downside of using the laptop in tablet mode is the greasy hand marks left on the screen. We've probably bought more screen cleaner than ever ... Read review

S6120 King of Notebooks?
Review of Fujitsu Siemens LifeBook S6120 - Pentium M 1.6 GHz - 13.3" TFT by LeroyBrown

Advantages: Lightweight, Very Fast, Long Battery Life
Disadvantages: Wi-Fi is not too good

The S6120 is my current notebook that I use at work. I was amazed when I received it last August. On first look you will be impressed by its sharp design, when you pick it up you will be amazed at how light it is compared to other laptops, that with its rigid built make it a prime laptop. I've dropped it twice and had no problems, not even a scratch on it. This is one fast machine as well, with Windows XP and a 1.6 Pentium M and 512mb ram you are ...
...chipset you are looking at long, long battery life (double that of normal laptops) and the Wi-Fi and Bluetooth built in. The combination DVD and CDRW is a godsend, and works a treat with the bundled software, no problems what so ever with that. My came complete with docking bay and external floppy drive (who uses a floppy anyway nowadays) and everything I could possibly think of using, put it this way I never had a situation where I didn’t have ...
