Value for Money Toshiba
Review of Toshiba Satellite A200 by sunweohn

Advantages: durability, reasonable price
Disadvantages: heat if used long hours and noisy fun inside

This notebook is my first notebook I bought it a year ago soon after it was launched in UK. I paid £499 for it. I don't think I should describe the product description in the review so I will only mention my experiences and opinions. In my opnion, the Satellite series is the reasonable priced notebook introduced by Toshiba. I use it daily and its durability is quite good. The keyboard keys are easy to handle and use. The notebooks come together with ...
...classic looks. When it is used for long hours (like 5 hours or more), it becomes hotter especially near the mouse pad area and the noise of the fun gets louder to reduce the heat inside. To summarise the pros and cons, it is value for money. Good Luck in your research of notebooks info. ... Read review

Asus EEE 4G Surf - 900Mhz/512Mb/7" TFT (July 08)
Review of ASUS Eee PC 4G - Celeron M 353 900 MHz - 7" TFT by cport80

Advantages: Fast boot time, Good connectivity
Disadvantages: Small keyboard, horizontal scrolling, poor webcam

The Asus EEE is one of those things that you never knew you needed until you get it. I have been so impressed by this tiny machine that I am planning to get my own once I have to give back this one that I borrowed from work. So what exactly is a sub-notebook anyway? Well the first thing you notice about the EEE is it's size. It's really small & compact yet has a surprising plastic but tough feel to it. You could be forgiven for thinking that someone ...
...hours when fully charged the Asus EEE is a wonderful mobile companion. I would choose it over devices costing more than double (see some of my other reviews), as its a prime example of the manufacturer being on-the-ball and creating a really usable PC at a bargain basement price. I would love to get my hands on the larger screen version as it can be slightly annoying having to use the horizontal scroll-bar to read some web content but that's down ... Read review

Value? Hmmm
Review of Fujitsu Siemens LifeBook S7110 Value - Core Duo T2500 2 GHz - 14.1" TFT by lhudson23

Advantages: Extremly long battery life.
Disadvantages: Not as light as a laptop can be. Very expensive.

The laptop itself is a very good one, and unless you need a laptop for anything really specific, such as 'hardcore' gaming, or for downloading films, music, tv programsthen it will suit all your needs. It has a goos sized hard-drive and R.A.M. I have found the battery time, like many laptops, has reduced by quite a lot over the time I have had it, now lasting little over an hour after being fully charged, and that is having had the laptop about a ...
...had lighter laptops and I have found on longer journeys or while carrying the laptop with me in a bag it is actually a fairly major problem compared to laptops such as the Apple laptops. The S7110 seems a little over-priced. I can't really see what more you are getting for your money than you would having brought another laptop. Overall - reasonable. ... Read review

Samsung R20
Review of Samsung R20 LWM2 T2250 - Core Duo T2250 1.73 GHz - 14.1" TFT by poodyshmoe

Advantages: Cheap, Stylish, and Quick, with good memory.
Disadvantages: Easily scratchable glossy finish, trial version of Office

I bought this Laptop the day it was released and have only had a few bothers with it. Firstly, I would like to say it looks supurb, although I stupidly put it in a bag where something rough was rubbing against the glossy black side of it... And of course you have to keep cleaning that glossy black for it to look good every day! Looks wise, it beats the Mac hands down, and from what ive heard it was made as samsungs challenge to the mac market. I ...
...I got, this seems very good value for money. Fast, light, losts of memory and goodlooking, it does the job. The only hassles ive had is it slowing down when theres some big programs running at the same time, which I guess is pretty obvious. The other is that the CD burner seems to have gone wrong today - but then again I have used this hardware every day since I bought it. All in all, a great buy for the money. ... Read review
