Inspiron 1525 and inspiration!
Review of Dell Inspiron 1525 by aliswan1

Advantages: good processor, beautiful screen, loads of little extra perks
Disadvantages: cant think of any

This laptop is great! Dell gave me this free due to having so many problems with my old inspiron 6000, and i couldn't be happier. when it arrived i compared it to my old laptop, which dell let me keep until i had transfered my documents over, and it is by far the better quality laptop. its light weight, the keys are cushioned so you dont have that annoying clicking noise when you type. the screen is beautiful, it is so clear and the pciture quality ...
...can connect it to a HD TV and play games on a big sreen and a memory card reader which reads SD cards, XD cards and sony memory stick pro cards easily and transfers data quickly! the wedge shape tilts the keyboard for ease of use both on a desk and on your knee. I'm over the moon with my freebie laptop, and would have happily buy one if i needed to! ... Read review

Dell Inspiron 1720
Review of Dell Inspiron 1720 by a_k_bardot

Advantages: Reasonably Priced, Easy to Use, Large Screen
Disadvantages: Heavy

...reasonably priced and I trusted Dell products from my personal and friends' previous use. The screen is fairly large which conributes towards the ease of use of this particlular model. I have had it just under a year and I have experienced no problems whatsoever, I regularly browse the internet and have uploaded many photos but neither have slowed it down. Admitably I am not the most technically advanced person but I have found it so easy to use. ... Read review

asus e pc
Review of ASUS Eee PC 4G - Celeron M 353 900 MHz - 7" TFT by shanewheeler1987

Advantages: small lighweight
Disadvantages: linux os

The Asus e PC is the perfect choice for students who want to use their computer at home, at school, at work or on the move. Smaller than a A5 pad and weighs less than 1kg! This is one the best laptops you can get designed for internet browsing on the move! I removed the original Linux operating system and installed Windows XP SP2. very usefull. handy for browsing the internet by just touching the screen! I had owned it for 2 months only. however ...
...because most kids that have grown up around Microsoft don't want to have to get used to another os and as most colleges use xp on their workstations people are going to find it hard to get used to linux so please asus make xp standard on the e pc. ... Read review

not great but it will do
Review of Asus x50n by 05cwestr

Advantages: good for note taking
Disadvantages: can't play game in full settings

I have found the asus x50n looks great and is so easy to run. You can play games on it but not at the highest settings. So this product is maily as a note taker. The problem is it is just like any laptop it is not special in any way but would be great as a not taker but any old lap top could do that for 100 pounds cheaper. Despite that 313 pounds is a fairly good price nowadays, I have seen better though. The battery power is quite good and actually ...
...this is the perfect solution. I like the ASUS because it looks good and feels good. I can't say if this is amazing value for money it really depends on what you want. Although this Asus is very portable and I think will last a while. PLEASE RATE ... Read review

It may look good.. but is that all that matters?
Review of Dell Inspiron 1520 by EllieJ44

Advantages: Coloured skins, good picture quality
Disadvantages: not compatible with windows vista, or their standard virus protection software

...protaction software that comes with Dell is not compatible with this laptop. After day two of purchasing the product it didn't work. Windows side bar either takes20minuites to load, or encounters a problem and has to stop running completely. This then slows the other applications down as its busy loading side bar. The sound quality is good, however, the maximum volume is poor. Despite the poor points, there are a few good ones. The wireless range ...
...product is very unsatisfactory. If the price was around the £400 mark, I would recomend this laptop. Dell are also very unhelpful, and hard to understand. The product came 3weeks after it was supposed to arrive. A small fortune can also be spent ringng them for help and advice. ... Read review
