Review of Acer Aspire 5315-051G12Mi - Celeron M 530 1.73 GHz - 15.4" TFT by

Advantages: Very good utilities
Disadvantages: Quite heavy
This laptop is a good laptop. However: there are a lot of people, includins myself, who think this pc can get a lot better...
Today, the sellers automaticly put Window's Vista on this laptop. Very well, if you don't want to do much with it, or if you are familiar with slow pc's then everything would be fine. If you are used to the fast one's, then this could be a problem. The Vista system makes sure your CPU keeps jumping up to 100% every time you ...

This mate doesn't travel well
Review of Acer TravelMate 5720G-302G16 - Core 2 Duo T7300 - 15.4" TFT by
whitedream
Advantages: Lots of features for the price
Disadvantages: Bulky, and a short battery life
...popular. The quality keeps rising. Acer has shown this with its latest TravelMate laptop. I needed it for general work, which seemed ideal.
> What's it got? <
The 5720G model has a dark grey exterior and easy to access control. At the heart is an Intel 2GHz T7300 Core 2 Duo processor (very fast for a laptop), though I feel this is simply to make Windows Vista work on it at an acceptable performance (it comes installed with Vista Home Premium). ... ...DDR2 RAM, this should be enough to run Vista smoothly for some time to come, even if you like to run all of your applications at the same time!
Hard disk space is generous too. Its nominal 160GB capacity is enough to leave more than 125GB free for your own applications and files after Vista has taken its claim, and has a 10GB restore partition.
As for expansion ports, there are four USB ports, one mini-FireWire socket, an RJ-45 port for the Gigabit ...

Advantages: Excellent value for money, good spec
Disadvantages: not bluetooth enabled
...that when I compared the Acer to the big boys it offered much much more for the money. The only thing that this particular model doesnt offer is built in Bluetooth but this can be easily solved by purchasing a dongle.
It was so easy to set up and i was able to use it immediately, from previous experience this was a blessing and quite refreshing, no sotware cds, anti vrus software to install as it was already pre loaded. I would definitely recommend ...

Advantages: looks great, does everything
Disadvantages: nothing
...myself.
The Design
Acer always seem to make nice looking machines in my opinion and this is no exception. The Travelmate 5520G-5A1G12 is a stylish laptop in full black casing apart from the mouse scrolling interface. I love the shiny finish and the toolbar of crystal blue quick launch buttons below the screen. It comes with a superb 15.4 inch widescreen TFT screen that is large enough for your working requirements and provides fantastic images in ... ...kg which is not very much, justifying its designation as a 'travelmate' laptop for on the move people. The Processor
It's an Athlon 64 X2 TK-53 Mobile Technology laptop. The Athlon 64 X2 is the first dual-core processor developed by AMD and features two Athlon 64 chips coupled together. It has 512 KB of front bus speed, which is how much the chip can handle on its own. This is an adequate processor for getting your work done and for downloading ...
