...little older version of the acer travel mate 6292. this travelmate, like the others is also designed for buisness people on the move. although this is the smallest and sleekist laptop from the acer line, this laptop still isnt as sleek and cool as some of the other new laptops out their on the market today. the TravelMate 6292 weighs less than 2kg with its 6-cell battery in place which i think you will agree is a really nice leight weight laptop, ...

Advantages: Price, Features, speed, good display and solid buld
Disadvantages: Very poor battery life

...did take it up with Acer who said it was normal) . Needless to say we are using XP. The display is sharp and clear whilst and case is durable with a good feel keyboard (better than the Toshiba we use which cost a great deal more). The processor speed is good, it can handle a number of applications, curently running a virus check whilst writting this with no slowdown or breaks. I for one, absolutely love the look of this acer. The bottom of the laptop just looks really cool, and the top looks ok too. One only criticism on the look, would be that the plastic at the tip of the screen is a little thick, but then again it does have a built in webcam, so I suppose that makes up for it. ...using memory demanding programs or wanting to play new games on it then maybe its 512mb of built in ram is good enough for you. But, like I say, if your not sure of what ram you will need, then your better just getting a better laptop rather then buying this for a bit cheaper and getting frustrated because its so slow.
