The laptops technical specs include a very fast 2.5 ghz dual core proccesor which is very fast, the dual core allows it to tackle multiple tasks quicly as well as increasing the overall speed of the laptop. Personal favourite computer and will never go back to a windows based computer. ...buy the RAM modules of Apple directly rather than websites like Cruical memory. If you are going to use an external hard drive, it have to be noted that there is only 2 USB ports one on each side. ...good as any PC laptop inluding bluetooth, and fast wifi as well as a full compliment of ports inluding firewire 800mps. Battery life is very impressive and watching DVDs on the 15 inch widescreen is a treat. Great laptop, has lasted me just over 2 years now and is still serving me well! I use the powerbook for producing music on Logic Pro 7.2, I however found that after I had learned the basics and am now straying a little further into the realms of soft-synthesis, my memory was limiting me so I up-graded to 2gig of ram from the 512meg which comes factory built in the machine, this was done easily (just a few screws and that was it!). ...too! If you are planning on doing this you must make sure you use the correct type of ram for the unit, some are DDR2 and the older ones are not.
