Absolutely great little laptop
Review of ASUS Eee PC 901 - Atom 1.6 GHz - 8.9" TFT by
JeanReno
Advantages: Very portable, very quiet, cool, easy to use interface, cracking little processor
Disadvantages: Not for everyone because of a lack of space
During my recent search for a laptop i found this rather smart looking item and decided to check it out. The first thing that struck me was the tiny size. I began to wonder what they could have put inside with it being so small. I was pleasantly suprised to find the new Atom processor running at 1.6ghz. This may sound like a cut down version of other intel processors but it isn't quite that. In fact it is custom designed by Intel for the internet. ... ...are also well handled by this new processor and in a wonderful stroke of design Intel have managed to make an almost silent processor. It is extremely quiet. The processor fan's quietness is one thing but the more suprising thing is the temperature. The fan doesn't have to make a noise because the new processor is so cool and thus means less stress on the components. The screen is naturally rather small but is perfectly clear and not too shiny. The ...

asus e pc
Review of ASUS Eee PC 4G - Celeron M 353 900 MHz - 7" TFT by
shanewheeler1987
Advantages: small lighweight
Disadvantages: linux os
The Asus e PC is the perfect choice for students who want to use their computer at home, at school, at work or on the move. Smaller than a A5 pad and weighs less than 1kg! This is one the best laptops you can get designed for internet browsing on the move! I removed the original Linux operating system and installed Windows XP SP2. very usefull. handy for browsing the internet by just touching the screen! I had owned it for 2 months only. however ... ...because most kids that have grown up around Microsoft don't want to have to get used to another os and as most colleges use xp on their workstations people are going to find it hard to get used to linux so please asus make xp standard on the e pc. ...

Small ASUS, Large features
Review of ASUS U3S 3P092E - Core 2 Duo T7500 2.2 GHz - 13.3" TFT by
hauran
Advantages: GPS, HDMI, eSATA
Disadvantages: loud cooler
ASUS U3S is very well designed. When closed the notebook is whole black, Only on the back side is a silver line. Cover is made from metal and its surface
is smooth and reflects like a mirror. It is nice, but you have to clean it often to keep the effect on:) The sides are hardened by metal so the construction
is strong. Good thing is the leather surface arounf touchpad. The only thing i dislike about this mode are a bigger edges around display.
... ...front side is no connector, on the left Audio, card reader (MMC, SD, MS/Pro), Wifi switcher FireWire, USB, cooling output and S-video.
The back side id filled mostly by battery, on the sides are VGA, modem and LAN. On the right side are the most interesting ports - Express Card, switcher of the graphics card,
two USBs, port for external GPS antenna, HDMI output, eSATA connector to plig-in an external disc. So, as I wrote there are only 3 USB ports, ...

Really is as easy as it claims
Review of ASUS Eee PC 2G Surf - Celeron M - 7" by
Hasselnott
Advantages: Size, useability
Disadvantages: Battery length
So, I was in PC world when I first saw this beauty, the tiniest laptop I've seen before and I immediately fell In love with it. I am going to review the points I think are most important. Firstly I will talk about it's size - as thats obvious what draws people to this tiny creature. It is so small and light, that taking it places - university for example is easy as it can even fit in a handbag. It about the size of a book. But with it's size come ... ...a problem for some - though I've just found that I've got used to it, and use it constantly - to write essays etc. The screen is also small, but again thats just something to get use to. The only reason why the small screen is an issue, is when watching tv/films on it. Though even this factor wouldn't have stopped me buying it. I frequently use iplayer from the bbc and have no problems watching tv shows.
The thing I deem next important is the software. ...

Inspiron 1525 and inspiration!
Review of Dell Inspiron 1525 by
aliswan1
Advantages: good processor, beautiful screen, loads of little extra perks
Disadvantages: cant think of any
This laptop is great! Dell gave me this free due to having so many problems with my old inspiron 6000, and i couldn't be happier. when it arrived i compared it to my old laptop, which dell let me keep until i had transfered my documents over, and it is by far the better quality laptop. its light weight, the keys are cushioned so you dont have that annoying clicking noise when you type. the screen is beautiful, it is so clear and the pciture quality ... ...can connect it to a HD TV and play games on a big sreen and a memory card reader which reads SD cards, XD cards and sony memory stick pro cards easily and transfers data quickly! the wedge shape tilts the keyboard for ease of use both on a desk and on your knee. I'm over the moon with my freebie laptop, and would have happily buy one if i needed to! ...
