Asus Eee PC 900 - My experience.
Review of Asus Eee PC 900 by Baz047

Advantages: Very fast and very portable.
Disadvantages: Tiny keyboard and can sometimes feel a little flimsy.

This is a fantastic little laptop. I've been using it for little over a month now and all I can say is WOW!. It's very light and portable, I've had no problem carrying it around with me, even just in my hands. Of course this creates a downside. Tjhe keyboard could be a little bigger. I have fingers like sausages so maybe this is just my experience, but I can not type at my full speed, which is a shame. Also, sometimes it feel's like i could snap ...
...my hands are bigger than average. For such a small laptop, it really is quite fast, as long as you don't want to play games. I only use it to write college reports and light programming, and for this is works wonders. I have the XP version and it is very capable of running word processors and even photoshop. I generally find that 20 gig is plenty for me so having the solid state HDD is brilliant. Finally, considering what you get for your money, ... Read review

Great little machine
Review of Asus Eee PC 701 by excaliburuk

Advantages: Small, good battery life, easy to use, great for wifi, built in webcam.
Disadvantages: Linux makes it awkward for non techies to install new software, no bluetooth

...a million miles from windows. Asus do include the drivers for windows on the recovery disk and also full instructions on installing XP on the unit are included in the very informative manual but using them will require an external cd/dvd rom. There are ways to do it without the external drive using a usb stick / sd card, but you will have to do a search. In its stock state you will be able to browse the net and work with word and excel documents. ...
...a compatible (VGA) LCD TV. Asus place a warranty sticker over the memory upgrade flap screw underneath to prevent anyone from upgrading the memory but them, (only available on some models), hairdrier to the ready!! For the wifi users the built in atheros chipset wifi adaptor has great reception and range and does work in monitor and injection modes out of the box. Speed wise it has enough power to run Windows Xp happily ( although you may need ... Read review

Asus EEE 4G Surf - 900Mhz/512Mb/7" TFT (July 08)
Review of ASUS Eee PC 4G - Celeron M 353 900 MHz - 7" TFT by cport80

Advantages: Fast boot time, Good connectivity
Disadvantages: Small keyboard, horizontal scrolling, poor webcam

The Asus EEE is one of those things that you never knew you needed until you get it. I have been so impressed by this tiny machine that I am planning to get my own once I have to give back this one that I borrowed from work. So what exactly is a sub-notebook anyway? Well the first thing you notice about the EEE is it's size. It's really small & compact yet has a surprising plastic but tough feel to it. You could be forgiven for thinking that someone ...
...hours when fully charged the Asus EEE is a wonderful mobile companion. I would choose it over devices costing more than double (see some of my other reviews), as its a prime example of the manufacturer being on-the-ball and creating a really usable PC at a bargain basement price. I would love to get my hands on the larger screen version as it can be slightly annoying having to use the horizontal scroll-bar to read some web content but that's down ... Read review

Asus eee
Review of Asus Eee PC 8G by Denise_Stones

Advantages: small , light, great wifi
Disadvantages: poor memory, short battery life, no cd drive

The eee series is very beautiful if your looking for a easy to use small portable laptop this is the one, the only downside is the linux based system but I now have Xp up and running it cost me an extra 50.00 but is well worth it, this was originally made for kids to encourage homework studies but has not been adopted by the older generation. This laptop is strictly for internet and studying purposes do not buy if you want to play games or dvds ...
...not got the memory to cope with memory eating software. It has built in wifi which i was very impressed with its more powerful then the one on my pc. But all in all this is a very impressive little computer that should not be underestimated with its high speed internet connection ... Read review

Do you really need it?
Review of Asus G1S by 666Nemesis666

Advantages: Powerful laptop, good value, easily upgradeable, reliable hardware.
Disadvantages: Some extras are unneccessary, built-in speakers are useless, Hard drive can be annoyingly noisy.

...of a children's fantasy adventure? ASUS have also taken the liberty of installing bright green flashing lights on either side of the laptop - so that you know when the graphics card is in use (as if you wouldn't know anyway) let me assure you that the novelty very soon wears off when you are trying to watch a movie in darkness (for that cinema feel) and have to put up with continual green flashes emanating from the sides of your screen. All in all ...
...with all the extra features and luxuries it is certainly worth the money. However, this is probably not the best option for a serious gamer (even though it is a gaming laptop) as all those extra features do bump up the price unnecessarily and other brands such as my personal God of computing - Alienware - do spend more of your money on the things which do matter (such as graphics and sound cards) rather than webcams and memory card readers. ...
