Beyond the highest expectations, a gem
Review of Compaq Evo Notebook N800c - P4-M 1.8 GHz - 15" TFT by jhibbs

Advantages: quality, feel, speed, expandability, screen quality & res.
Disadvantages: it's faster brother...at the price, nothing else

I've had this laptop for over a year, wrote this review on it, and I couldn't do without it.. I speak not as a writer reliant on his laptop, but as a die-hard IT support guy looking at a machine that can multi boot, keep up with the most demanding websites, look good in modern supertrendy laptop design company (if you catch my drift) and have a great reliable built in wireless/bluetooth module in the lid as well as great battery life. All of this ...
...is common to catch these machines at a reduced rate once the business community has done with them). No, it isn't the most compact, smallest, widescreen machine - and if you need super portability, look elsewhere. But if like me you want decent disk space, expansion capability, very high quality feel (the keyboard is one of the best I have felt on any laptop including Sony, the case has such a tactile matt rubberised feel, the built in mice work ... My Workhorse by a home user
Review of Compaq Evo Notebook N1020v - P4 1.8 GHz - 15" TFT by sandy1212w

Advantages: Great performance
Disadvantages: A few niggles - see below

...fairly slow. It works well, doesn't hang up or crash. Overall a good machine. The few 'niggles' I have I can live with quite happily, and I would recommend this laptop. (Note to Compaq - See what you can do about the lettering on the keyboards) ... Read review

2 heavy but features & reliability 2 make up 4 it!
Review of Compaq Evo Mobile Workstation N800w - P4-M 2 GHz - 15" TFT by Dr.Info

Advantages: Very reliable, great graphics and sound, good work horse, wireless connectivity
Disadvantages: Weight, odd shaped and bulky, expensive when new

I bought this Laptop over a year ago and since then it has served me well. The processor speed is reasonable and the laptop never freezes up even though I do complicated website design and graphics. The keyboard is well laid out and the laptop had both a touch pad and a finger controlled four way scroll thingy between the keys on the keyboard. It has built in ethernet port and V92 modem. The speakers are at the front of the computer and are produced ...
...the DVD drive version and I regularly watch DVD's on the train which is very good quality and does jump. The multiport is also very useful as it has built in wireless connection and connects automatically to my home network or any unsecured network in range. The multiport is swapable with a bluetooth module. The computer is heavy and the multiport on the lid surface contributes to its square and awkward shaped attributes. Saying that the battery ... Review of Compaq Presario 2810EA
Review of Compaq Presario 2810EA - P4-M 1.4 GHz - 15" TFT by neil1424

Advantages: Fast for a Compaq laptop, not bad price, nice size hd
Disadvantages: bit ugly, not very light for carrying around, quite large

Compaq may not make the most desirable looking laptops, and this most certainly isn't going to make you fall in love with it, but I do like this laptop which I got a while ago for only £700! with 1.4Ghz P4-M, quite fast for a Compaq laptop, and a nice graphics card (mine came with a 128mb radeon gfx card) games and applications run nice and fast on this laptop What drew me to this was the 30 gig hard drive also, a definate bonus for my work, especially ...
...though is the bulk of the laptop. It is very wide and heavy, not the idea for carrying around. I would probably have not bought the laptop if I had known I was going to carry it around a lot. The laptop comes with the usual software packages, windows XP home ed., MS Office applications, Windows Media player etc. There were not many extras on the laptop apart from a few quick buttons on the keyboard which let you run applications quickly. Overall, ... Read review

Review of Sony VAIO AR61M - Core 2 Duo T7500 2.2 GHz - 17" TFT by chris.webb.88

Advantages: Everything
Disadvantages: keyboard

...own keyboard. However I would not let this put you off buying a really great laptop. Other than this, I would highly recommend this laptop. It also has other usefull features such as a memory card reader and really simple to use Sony software. I have no regrets! ... Read review
