I needed a Laptop that could give me the experince of a Tabletop. And this Computer gave it all and more. The screen is exelent, you can have 2 hard drives installed, in Raid 0 or as 2 disks. The keyboard, the feature with the touch pad is great. You can sit in the sofa and use the mouse directly on the keyboad while the laptop is on the table. I bought the Dell Vostro 1000 for starting a Degree last september. The Vostro 1000 is marketed at businesses and as such is installed with Windows Vista Business. The laptop came with 2GB of RAM which is ample to run vista comfortably. The fact that the laptop is marketed for businesses has made no difference to me.
