Dell Insprion 1300 would recommend getting one
Review of Dell Inspiron 1300 - Celeron M 360 1.4 GHz - 15.4" TFT by
alan181082e
Advantages: small easy put away
Disadvantages: keys would sometimes come off easy
I had a dell inspiron 1300 for about 6 month and i loved it. Never had any problems at all. I found this computer to be light, fast and very reliable.
If your thinking of gettting one of these i highly recommend it because its small stylish and can easiely be put away in small spaces so its not hanging about in your way when cleaning.
I also used to go away quite a lot and would find the laptop very easy to carry and the software i had for my wireless ... ...point as long as you knew the wep key
The hard drive on these is also ok because i used to store quite a lot of programs and files on there. I was really upset about selling this computer but had to due to finace difficultys. As soon as ive got the money i will be going straight to dell.co.uk for one ...

Dell D800
Review of Dell Latitude D800 - Pentium M 1.3 GHz - 15.4" TFT by
sposton
Advantages: Long Term Warranty, Customisable, 1920x1200 resolution a must, Serial Port
Disadvantages: Nothing
...This is really my 3rd Dell notebook.
What made me choose Dell? Well, with a 3ry International warranty, 3yr Accidental damage warranty, what more can a Notebook company offer with warranties at minimal cost?
With notebooks i can buy in a local store, i don't get any of these warranties probably without a price. I usually put the lifetime of a notebook to 1 year, but with Dell and their warranties, if you choose a good hi-spec model, then it can ...

Mobile Excellence
Review of Dell Inspiron 5150 - P4 3.06 GHz - 15" TFT by
Gawain_dc
Advantages: Excellent performance, High Quality, Excellent Service
Disadvantages: Not the lightest notebook on the market
...I needed.
Having used Dell before for desktop PCs I was pretty happy with both the quality and service offered previously, and was willing to offer my custom to them for my notebook needs. However, like any shopper would be advised to do, I shopped around and compared prices before hand. First stop, Sony - what beautiful Vaio systems they offer these days, lightweight, powerful, attractive to the eye - they offer everything, including an extortionate ... ...speedy. Believe it or not, Dell build a system to your exact requirements, so the moment you confirm your order, they set about building your PC, therefore delivery is a little slower than the boxshifting PC corporations that you seem to find everywhere these days. I received the notebook within 10 days - and also received free double memory and a Lexmark X75 copier/Scanner/Printer for free as part of the deal. All arrived together and excellently ...

Brilliant speedy laptop!
Review of Dell Inspiron 9100 - P4 3 GHz - 15.4" TFT by
Hazmatazz
Advantages: In text
Disadvantages: In text
A Brilliant laptop, very fast and well built just it has quite low battery life due to the Petium 4 3.0GHZ HT Processor, my laptop had the ATI Radeon 9800 AGP8x. 12 Cell battery but 16 cell versions are availible (without the Sub-woofer) The sub is inbuilt into the laptop. Good size screen (Widescreen)
+ Powered USB port
+DVI port asswell as VGA port (Digital Analogue)
+Powerful desktop replacement
+Amazing graphics
+Dedicated graphics memory
... ...slower
-Pentium 4 so still has Netburst architecture, not dual core
-Low battery life due to desktop parts
-Weight! 4.1KG!!!!!
-Not very good to use off a solid surface e.g Legs
I used a program called i8kfangui to control the fans for the processor, this allows me to force the fans to high speed and thigs like that. I find that the WiFi is very good.
Got mine off ebay for £230 ...

Dell Inspiron 1300 great Laptop for 1 weeks work
Review of Dell Inspiron 1300 - Celeron M 380 1.6 GHz - 15.4" TFT by
wrb1331
Advantages: Hardy machine, durable, good support from dell online also. recommended
Disadvantages: Poor battery, power pin loose, screen loose, both tightened up.
...over a year know, and Dell over all I would recommend as a hardy piece of kit. No wonder they are number one as anyone wanting a realiable and good working machine then you can do no wrong then a dell. Only a few quibbles but mainly down to 3 people using the laptop everyday, the power plug became loose meaning the screen would flicker and charging would be intermittent. The battery is on 29wh very poor 1 hour bad from dell but after all its a budget ...
