Advantages: simple reliable value
Disadvantages: can't think of any
brilliant. i have owned five Dell laptops and they have all been excellent. i had one that had a problem, howeveri had the onsite warranty. they were out next day and fixed it in my house. parts and all. they were consistent in their reliablilty and seem that way acroos the range. the smaller models were better than the larger types. i.e Centrino cooler than the P4 versions. this is similar in all Lappys though. i enjoyed the simplicity of setting ... ...have prompted me to recommend them to many of my friends and in my opinion value for money and specification together, thereis not much better available. all in all thy have been a worthwhile purchase and i would continue to recommend them to others. i will purchase again when i have the need to. ...

Dell D800
Review of Dell Latitude D800 - Pentium M 1.3 GHz - 15.4" TFT by
sposton
Advantages: Long Term Warranty, Customisable, 1920x1200 resolution a must, Serial Port
Disadvantages: Nothing
...This is really my 3rd Dell notebook.
What made me choose Dell? Well, with a 3ry International warranty, 3yr Accidental damage warranty, what more can a Notebook company offer with warranties at minimal cost?
With notebooks i can buy in a local store, i don't get any of these warranties probably without a price. I usually put the lifetime of a notebook to 1 year, but with Dell and their warranties, if you choose a good hi-spec model, then it can ...

Dell Insprion 1300 would recommend getting one
Review of Dell Inspiron 1300 - Celeron M 360 1.4 GHz - 15.4" TFT by

Advantages: small easy put away
Disadvantages: keys would sometimes come off easy
I had a dell inspiron 1300 for about 6 month and i loved it. Never had any problems at all. I found this computer to be light, fast and very reliable.
If your thinking of gettting one of these i highly recommend it because its small stylish and can easiely be put away in small spaces so its not hanging about in your way when cleaning.
I also used to go away quite a lot and would find the laptop very easy to carry and the software i had for my wireless ... ...point as long as you knew the wep key
The hard drive on these is also ok because i used to store quite a lot of programs and files on there. I was really upset about selling this computer but had to due to finace difficultys. As soon as ive got the money i will be going straight to dell.co.uk for one ...

Advantages: Good build quality
Disadvantages: Extremely slow
...reviewers that Dell would never stamp their name on such a worthless product (even if it was their entry-level model) - just goes to show you can't trust in reputation alone. I can now confidently predict that I will never purchase another Dell computer again - once bitten ... ...

Mobile Excellence
Review of Dell Inspiron 5150 - P4 3.06 GHz - 15" TFT by
Gawain_dc
Advantages: Excellent performance, High Quality, Excellent Service
Disadvantages: Not the lightest notebook on the market
...I needed.
Having used Dell before for desktop PCs I was pretty happy with both the quality and service offered previously, and was willing to offer my custom to them for my notebook needs. However, like any shopper would be advised to do, I shopped around and compared prices before hand. First stop, Sony - what beautiful Vaio systems they offer these days, lightweight, powerful, attractive to the eye - they offer everything, including an extortionate ... ...speedy. Believe it or not, Dell build a system to your exact requirements, so the moment you confirm your order, they set about building your PC, therefore delivery is a little slower than the boxshifting PC corporations that you seem to find everywhere these days. I received the notebook within 10 days - and also received free double memory and a Lexmark X75 copier/Scanner/Printer for free as part of the deal. All arrived together and excellently ...
