...rated the old Powerbook from Apple but not yet this little black Macbook. It is "faster", has audio in, wireless internet, a brighter screen, a better power connector and a whole range of excellent software delivered with it. The surface is more resistant to scratches than the old "Titanium" Powerbook, I throw my tools around a lot and do not want to handle them like a holy bible ;-) Bad Points: The screen no longer folds back as far as the "Titanium" ...

...which are still operational. The Lenovo site's recall service is based on the serial number of the batteries. Although we all had the same computer (and presumably batteries) only some of us managed to avail the recall even though the battery problem was more or less identical. There are similar problems with the chargers which are prone to failure or breakage. I personally know of at least four users including myself who have had to buy new chargers ...

This is the second HP laptop I have owned, and neither have been very reliable. I bought this one as it had a large wide screen as i watch a lot of movies on it when i'm travelling, the number pad was a bonus for when I play certain games, also the graphics card was a major seller as I needed it to be able to handle the games I wanted to play. ...it is hard to find HP Motherboards for a reasonable price in the UK. I am not the only person I know who has had the same motherboard failings on a HP laptop, so beware the cost of repair is so high. It is a shame as it is a fantastic laptop, just plagued with problems. Also the free tv card doesn't work properly, even with an external tv ariel it doesn't pick up any channels, i googled this on the net and apparently everyone has the same problem, ... Read review
