Before you buy the Fujitsu likebook 7230 please read my experience. I bought the 7230 lifebook from Fujitsu direct a few weeks ago and had it configured for 1G of memory. I based this on their own user guide which says the machine has 1G of onboard memory under the keyboard which is not user accessible, and another slot on the back which is user accessible for another 1G. so i had planned to upgrage later when i found out how fast or slow it runs. ...
...without changing their user manual. Fujitsu have been giving me the run around right from the start on this...first denying that the user guide wass wrong...then admitting that there was a mistake but still not willing to make it right. To add insult to injury they then charged my credit card for the full amount when i tried to buy a 2G chip, even though the module was back ordered for at least 4/5 weeks. The Dell Inspiron 600m is an amazing laptop, even for just the beginner laptop-user. I've used alot of laptops in my time and this laptop actually stays with me, as it is a good laptop, and can take a beating at any time, if you're worried about it. This laptop is significant but, the hinge on the monitor can, IF PULLED, be easily broken. But, it is an amazing laptop. i brought this product as a cheap laptop to do my work on for college. i found that it worked quite slow considoring the specs given. i also found that the battery dies quite quickly without the adaptor so unless you are anywhere with a power supply you might as well not bother taking it with you. however i was impressed with the look and the feel of it. and for what i want to use it for it seems to be satisfactory. i would however not recommend ...
