Review of ThinkPad 570 PII 333 MHz - 13.3" TFT by djivesp

Advantages: Size, weight, looks, build quality, keyboard
Disadvantages: Built-in speaker

I got this laptop as second hand, with upgraded ram and hard drive (128M, 10Gb), after researching into the laptop market, i was after an ultra-portable laptop that would not break the bank, and this, for 130 off ebay was the best thing i could ever have gotten. To start off with my expectations, i expected to be able to get something really bulky and heavy, which would probably run windows 98 and i might have been tempted to make use of ...
...exceeded all my expectations and left me with a happy pocket! The Pentium II 333 would not really cut it as a multimedia performer, or so i thought, but again, i was surprised just how capable this portable is! Basically, being a student and wanting to carry the thing with me everyday, this is ideal, weighing in at 1.8 kilos without the base, i can word process, write emails, i have it on a broadband internet connection which lets me stream radio ... White's The New X-Black.
Review of Sony VAIO TX5MN/W - Core Solo U1400 1.2 GHz - 11.1" TFT by Khior

Advantages: Ultraportable, Stylish, Internal DVD±RW, Long Battery Life
Disadvantages: Few External Ports, Small Screen, Extortionate Price Tag

I have used several Sony VAIO TX5MN/W's in the workplace and I must say that I found them more than satisfactory. I like Sony products in general - especially the intuitive design and style of them and this product has both in buket-loads. The X-Black widescreen display is tiny at a mere 11" which, while excellent in quality, makes it hard to work at for an extended period of time. In keeping with the miniscule theme, the keyboard is ultra-compact ...
...flaw I can find in Sony laptops and I detest it. I have only even seen one of these because of my job but I'm pretty sure that otherwise it would've flown right under my radar. In conclusion, this laptop is much more than just a fashion accessory. It has the quality and size to be your favourite companion in the office (provided you have an external monitor) or on the road and be the envy of the meetings room. ... Read review

why to buy a sony
Review of Sony VAIO G11XN/B - Core Solo U1500 1.33 GHz - 12.1" TFT by iggy06

Advantages: looks good
Disadvantages: expensive

...i have always been a sony fan for the sheer elegance of their models and the Sony VAIO G11XN/B is no different. of course you do pay for what you get hence the Sony VAIO G11XN/B is not the cheapest model available in the market for it's specs. i would recommend a toshiba for the perfect balance of price vs. durability and reliability. sony models are very likely to break down just after the warranty runs out if over used e.g. leaving it on all night ... Review of Sony VAIO AR61M - Core 2 Duo T7500 2.2 GHz - 17" TFT by chris.webb.88

Advantages: Everything
Disadvantages: keyboard

...own keyboard. However I would not let this put you off buying a really great laptop. Other than this, I would highly recommend this laptop. It also has other usefull features such as a memory card reader and really simple to use Sony software. I have no regrets! ... Read review

One book worth a read.
Review of Apple iBook G4 - PPC G4 1 GHz - 14.1" TFT by Ideate

Advantages: Functionality, Speed, Look
Disadvantages: Minimal

Having not owned an Apple product before, i took a leap of faith into the unknown when i decided to buy this version, now i've had it for over 2years and i am still impressed. Even now it doesn't seem outdated with its slim 14" screen, sleek apple touch keyboard, and white gloss finish. It comes as standard with a 'slot' style loading drive which saves time and potential breakages. The laptop comes with quite a few trick features including colour ...
...hard drive - incase you drop it! The only niggles on this model are the USB port being on the left side which can make apple mice a reach for right handed people and its clunky 'plastic' style click on the track buttons. For the money prepare to be impressed! ... Read review
