Review of Fujitsu Siemens AMILO Pro V2035 Edition - Celeron M 370 1.5 GHz - 15.4" TFT by
reemi
Advantages: Cost Efficient
Disadvantages: Performance not that good
This machine is helping in a way if you need to give only the presentations and carry documents and manage them. Graphic users, please, i would say you have got much better and fast solutions than this. But with the price range, i must say its a good low budget piece of technology. Do buy it for your kids who are beginners of PSs'. It loses alot on the battery side too. It wont give you a battery time that you need on a little long distance journey. ...

amilo pro v2055-fujitsu siemens laptop
Review of Fujitsu Siemens AMILO Pro V2055 Edition - Celeron M 410 1.46 GHz - 15.4" TFT by
daffyduckdumbo
Advantages: not very many
Disadvantages: all listed in the review:)
it comes with a slow £256mb memory and only a £40 GB hard drive. slow graphics but ok for watching movies on. if you plan to buy an ipod of somesort morethan "20gb then this laptop will give you grief. the screen quality is ok for viwing but is very flimsy it is fat and heavy. but the laptop is perfect for a first student laptop or for a griwing child to have. this laptop is available in a vast price range ...i was silly and aid £400 but i know its ... ...if its a laptop you want for a long time and it is replacing a desktop thn i'de recommend you save up more and wait to buy a nice light good looking functipnal and basically a better laptop because personally if i only had £300 and i was considering buying a latop i'de go on ebay, cheap dell or i'de buy second hand because this laptop isn't so great for a person who needs it for a lot of storage work etc. plus it only comes with a 1yr warranty. this ...

My review
Review of Fujitsu Siemens AMILO Pro V2030 Edition - Celeron M 370 1.5 GHz - 15" TFT by
bruce11
Advantages: Speed, Excellent support for Linux, Great memory, Very nice looking
Disadvantages: It comes with Microsoft's Windows
This is the best laptop ever! Great performance and very good support for the open source platforms like Linux. The only pitty is that there was issues with ACPI and Linux(Slackware Linux had a problem controlling the RPM of the fan).
It's got very fast memory(ddr2) and a nice big TFT screen. There wasent anything bad about this laptop. I would recommend it to anyone. The hdd is great too. If you want to can have a look at a tutorial I have written ...

Not worth the money
Review of Fujitsu Siemens AMILO D-7830 - P4 2.66 GHz - 15" TFT by
jschopka
Advantages: Fast (with memory upgrade), good monitor
Disadvantages: Lousy battery, not robust enough for travel use. heavy
We bought this model since we were on a budget. My wife needed a laptop for her univeristy studies, I travel from time to time and needed to be able to work (Excel, Powerpoint) and see DVD´s etc.
I knew Fujistu-Siemens to be relable computers, having a SCALEO destop at home. My main concerns were the small amount of RAM and the weight.
We upgraded the RAM to 768 MB pretty quickly, because 256 MB is nowhere near enough. In the beginning things were ... ...or maybe two, so we kept it plugged in most of the time. We could never use the DVD player/writer for anything other than playback, but other than that the Amilo D7830 worked well. We never used it much, since we had a powerful desktop computer at home. My wife took it to school 3 og 4 times a month and I used it during my travels, maybe once a month.
6 months after we got it, it went completely dead (during DVD playback). We had it fixed at the ...

A strong but inexpensive contender
Review of Fujitsu Siemens AMILO Pro V2010 Edition - Celeron M 340 1.5 GHz - 15.1" TFT by
sarah_jo
Advantages: Slim, light, easy to use and generally good looking
Disadvantages: Its not wide screen but who can complain for around £500
...quickly find another one, the Fujitsu Siemens AMILO pro V2010. It wasn't the one I wanted so as soon as it came I was comparing the Siemens very harshly to the, much more expensive, Acer, I had expected to be extremely disappointed, but I wasn't. Believe you me I tried to dislike it but I just couldn't because it is a really nice piece of kit. Its got a mobile processor which I felt was really important as this doesn't attack the mobile battery like ... ...it's got three hour battery life it really does last that long. Another feature I desperately wanted was built in wireless LAN capabilities, which it has, but what I found most amazing was it worked. I switched it on for the very first time on the morning of my birthday and it took me straight on the network without any initiation from me what so ever. One slight disadvantage is that it only has 256mb of RAM, but that is easily upgradeable and I ...
