Disadvantages: Spend a little more, get a faster laptop

I have been using this laptop for a couple of months and I think, for the money, this is an exceptional piece of equipment. My couple of gripes are long charging time, the right mouse button feels loose, it now takes a very long time to boot up (it was fine new and I have not added much software) and a very limiting hard drive. Advantages: Good functional desktop replacement
Disadvantages: Fans frequently shorten battery life

In 2+ years of use I have found my 2500 to be a very good desktop substitute. BUT once the fans kick in (fairly often) the battery life greatly shortens to less than 50-60 minutes. This unit kicks out a lot of heat so the three fans operate almost constantly in my experience.The fans are also noisy -- I have had a librarian once come to me with request to quiet my computer! Overall a pretty good laptop, i got one very cheap a couple of years ago, and it is still going strong, although the very small RAM makes it very slow at times, and often freezes.
