Having bought this product second hand I feel I can objectively give my opinion on how well this product performs, as I was not biased at the point of sale by its looks, or features. As a web developer I use computers almost constantly so ease of use is of utmost importance, and unfortunately for me I do not find this a user friendly piece of equipment. Performance wise it is pretty quick and can handle several heavy weight applications open at once, i.e. Photoshop, Illustrator & Dreamweaver. Never let me down. works great in every situation. real laptop to take it with you. light, I just added 1 gb more of 667mhz RAM and this thing is the best money can get. This version is with windows XP though, and I am glad for that :) Intel GMA 950 graphics are not for playing NEW games but at least it is totally quiet laptop. Disadvantages: Subsequently turned out to be a "Friday" machine!

Norton said a problem - "run a full scan" - that couldn't complete, so ran Chdsk and this stalled at 25% on stage 4. Advantages: Still works like a sunshine after 8 hours ( or more ) of heavy use.
Disadvantages: after 18 months the battery can only supply me with 27 minutes of power.

Well, I bought this laptop in August 2006 for school. I noticed that except for the company delivery system there was not really anything wrong with this laptop. Yes, some people experience trouble with this laptop, but that is usually because they asume something. The speed is amazing, even after enslaving it with a memory draining game, and after that booting a 3d graphics program, it still works like a sunshine. I bought this product for school work as i entered the sixth form, however on the side i really did need a good laptop as i do a lot of photo editing and web building using incredibley demanding pieces of software like Adobe CS3. I had a small budget of about £400, and was wanted the most for my money. ...months and had one major problem when my bios battery had to be replaced due to a factory error only effecting mine, however the laptop went away for only 1 week a short time considering it went all the way to germany. It ispretty damn quick this laptop and is prbably the best in a price range of at least up to £500. Its a shame it has no memory card reader or tv out, but the shear performance makes up for this.
