great laptop, but you might wish it was better
Review of HP Compaq Business Notebook 6910p - Core 2 Duo T7300 2 GHz - 14.1" TFT by
techno_man_37
Advantages: portability
Disadvantages: price, amount of ram and hard drive
One thing HP Compaq are good at is making great laptops for business people. This clearly shows in this laptop as it incorporates everything a business man would need in a laptop.
This laptop clearly isn’t the best looking laptop iv ever seen, but its not ugly. Its all in one colour, black, which in this case doesn’t make it look so horrible due to its nice square shape structure. There are so many things wrong with this design, yet ... ...vista. HP 6510b review
Review of HP Compaq Business Notebook 6510b - Core 2 Duo T7250 2 GHz - 14.1" TFT by
hickmott
Advantages: Style, Practically and Processing power
Disadvantages: Not suitable for high end gaming
I have owned this laptop for about 8 months now and it is a very good laptop in many aspects:
Features:
-Very Stylish and business like design
-Duel processors with intelligent auto optimising to conserve power and deliver the best performance all of the time.
-High battery capacity
-High RAM
-Has all the features you would expect from a 21st century laptop e.g. built in wireless, bluetooth and a Biometric fingerprint scanner which can be used ... ...website which requires a password.
The laptop cannot be faulted in terms of its practicality, reliablity or style. However it is designed primarily as a high capabilty business laptop so it cannot handle very high end games that well.
Overall its a very good laptop and if you are intending to play games of high graphics and processing power then this isnt the best laptop especially since most laptops arenot designed for gaming. ...

HP--- invent if you must.
Review of HP OmniBook XE2 - C 500 MHz - 12.1" TFT by
staron
Advantages: Low price- or should be by now.
Disadvantages: Not state of the art, but why should it be?
...machine after all.
I mailed HP asking what the maximum hard disk size the XE2 will take. It has only tested drives up to 6Gb but believes the BIOS will allow up to 10Gb but won’t guarantee it will work. so if I upgrade I’ll make sure I can return the drive if it won’t work.
The XE2 has all the usual ports most of us expect, sadly it has only one PCMCIA and USB port, however, having an integrated modem most people will get by well ... ...utility is available from the HP site to facilitate this but seems a little brutal. I would respectfully suggest running the battery down fully in Windows then boot from a bootable floppy i.e. emergency start-up disk and leave the machine until it cuts off on its own. By all means use the HP utility but try to make sure the battery is in a low state of charge first--- it does get hot using this utility.
Running time depends on many factors with ...

Compaq Evo N620c
Review of Compaq Evo Notebook N620c - Pentium M 1.3 GHz - 14.1" TFT by
newkyjas
Advantages: lightweight, reliable
Disadvantages: Mouse control
I have used this laptop for many years now as my work laptop, I have had absolutely to problems with reliability, or ease of use.
The only downside I find is that the mouse control is dreadful, but as I connect a proper mouse to it thankfully I havent had to use it too much.
So from a reliability point of view, its been switched on at least 40 hours every week of the year and it just keeps chugging along. Screen quality is clear for the age of ... ...but quite capable for day to day activities of word, excel, info explorer etc.
Standard Processor is the Intel Pentium 1.4ghz, with 256Ram installed, although my work laptop has had the memory doubled, apparently to help XP process. Standard battery should last 6 hours on a full charge. 40GB IDE hard drive is included, with a weight of only 4.9 lbs is not the heaviest on the market. The measurements are (W x D x H)-- 12.1 in x 9.8 in x 1.2 in

Good allround machine - Dated design
Review of Compaq Evo Notebook N610c - P4-M 1.8 GHz - 14.1" TFT by
paulpemby
Advantages: Wide range of specificatons, Eaily Upgradable, Good battery life
Disadvantages: Produces a LOT of heat, dated design
The compaq Evo N610c is now an aging machine but still manages to handle the everyday tasks of a home-user or light business user. Compaq have developed a solid base system in this laptop which has multiple configuration options so that it can adapt to the needs of most users. Intel\'s P4 Mobile processors are utilised throughout this series and produces a longer battery life by only running at the speed needed to run the active programs.
Options ... ...RAM upto 1Gb (PC2700) and docking station.
On top of the configurable base system there are many external sockets to enable further peripherals and upgrades to be added. (2x USB Sockets, 2x PCMCIA Slots, VGA Out, Parallel Socket, Com Port, TV out socket, Ps/2 Socket, Headphones and Mic Socket).
The optional docking station enables even further expansion by adding further sockets still.
The screens used on the N610 range are top quality units and ...
