Review of Sony VAIO UX1XN - Core Solo U1500 1.33 GHz - 4.5" TFT by
Jacobnoahblues
Advantages: Ultra mobile and quick
Disadvantages: Tiny hard to see screen
...drain on memory. The best part of the ultra mobile pc was the finger tip technology which is very bondesque but works seemlessly, once set up kiss goodbye to all those endless username and password sign ins. Screen is slightly too small hence why I have upgraded to Sony TZ32! ...

The gr8 sony laptop
Review of Sony VAIO F701 - C 500 MHz - 13" HPA by
Gladiator2k
Advantages: The look of it
Disadvantages: Blacking out Screen
...ago my mum brought a Sony Vaio Laptop from Curries, which was the one I was thinking of getting myself. Anyway when my mum got home with the laptop and opened it up she had noticed that the battery was missing. she went down to Curries and got the battery and for the inconvenience they gave her a free mouse. When my mum set the computer up she turned the computer on and started to find out whats what and then the computer just shut down by itself, ... ...the manager she got another Sony Vaio PCG-F701 laptop in exchange for the other one so we went home and finally had fun on the computer. A year later and the computer is starting to play up again, the screen goes black then flashes back to normal, I think she would of better been off with a normal desktop computer but she wanted a Sony Vaio as they are supposed to be really good. The laptop also goes really slow, it only has 500 MHz, 64 MB SDRAM ...

Sony Vaio T1XP/L 1.4KG laptop
Review of Sony VAIO T1XP/L - Pentium M 733 1.1 GHz - 10.6" TFT by
matty168
Advantages: Small, Portable, Nicely Designed
Disadvantages: Charging time,Build Quality and Overheating
I am also a big Sony fan and i have always liked Sony Vaio laptops ever since i was little due to their design and their build quality.
I bought this particular Sony Vaio laptop because i liked the size and portability of it as it only weighs 1.4kg which is a lot lighter than almost everything on the market. I mean the whole point of having a laptop is to be able to take it around with you and by having a laptop that weighs 3kg or 4kg defeats the ... ...software and leaflets about the Sony range of products. However you don't get the restore CD's incase you need to do a system install but there is a a feature that allows you to create them so i would recommend you to do that asap.
The battery life is very good but this of course depends on the contrast as a higher contrast and brightness decreases the battery life. Typically it can last up to 6 hours(due to the ultra low voltage cpu it has).Charging ...

Sony Vaio Z1RSP
Review of Sony VAIO Z1RSP - Pentium M 1.7 GHz - 14.1" TFT by
lmellors
Advantages: Light, well designed and extremely stable
Disadvantages: nothing
...whole Z series notebooks from Sony have been extremely positive. I used to be solely an IBM man when it came to laptops believing that they were the only tier one supplier. Dell was to unstable and deterioated in performance very quickly and compaq/hp notebooks never met the quality of their desktops and servers. Toshiba was perhaps the closest match but in recent years toshiba laptops have declined. When thye sony vaoi came out initially it was ... ...with fun sony software for multi media. However, the new Z series and in particular the Z1RSP and Z1XMP are the best all round laptops to hit the market place. The are well designed and effective not to mention attractive and are probably the best performing laptop I have see. I sticking with this one. Only drawback is that it only has 2 usb slots - previous Vaio's had 3 not to worry though - It is fully loaded wireless, bluetooth with Centrino chips. ...

Sony Vaio S4M/S
Review of Sony VAIO S4M/S - Pentium M 730 1.6 GHz - 13.3" TFT by
jaffa_kri
Advantages: Good, Fast Laptop and Light weight
Disadvantages: Not too sturdy
...classic good looks of most Sony products.
Howevr, i have found it to be a little unreliable sometimes, occasionally crashing. Also, it isn't too sturdy; don't drop it! Having said this though, these qualities are offset by the magnificent customer support that i have found from Sony.
Other advantages are the great quality screen, with the x-black technology that really makes a difference. Also, the storage is quite good, but if you want to use ... ...worth the investment.
Overall, a good laptop, though really works better as a desktop due to its size. I would recommend it.
Oh, and as one last bit of advice, make sure you know what you are doing if you decide to format it, or even when starting it up for the first time, as it can get a little bit complicated... but then again, what can't? ...
