...just the best buy and Dell are known to be a respectable no frills brand which helped. It's worth noting that my Dell came with a lot of bundled software, slowing it down slightly. It was a litttle trouble to format a new laptop and install the drivers again, but the machine has been satisfactory ever since! I own this Dell Latitude D830 it is a very fast, very reliable piece of equipment. It has dual core so its pretty good for gaming also with a very good video card. I wouldn't recommend it for the highest newest games but its very good to get you playing some of the recent games. It runs all sorts of O.S. so thats a plus. Compatible with most software.
