Review of Samsung R60 Plus Pentium Dual Core T2310 1.46 GHz - 15.4" TFT by ellisbrolaptop

Advantages: high speed
Disadvantages: long booting time

This is an awsome laptop, you can easily multi-task and play games. it is very easy to use and is very quick . It is great for the whole family wether for kids and homework or parents and paperwork. It has alot of good features like vista basic , and microsoft office 08. There really isn't much u can criticize about this laptop probably the fact it takes a little while to load to the sign in screen. It also has a great internet connectivity wireless ... Read review

Samsung R20
Review of Samsung R20 LWM2 T2250 - Core Duo T2250 1.73 GHz - 14.1" TFT by poodyshmoe

Advantages: Cheap, Stylish, and Quick, with good memory.
Disadvantages: Easily scratchable glossy finish, trial version of Office

I bought this Laptop the day it was released and have only had a few bothers with it. Firstly, I would like to say it looks supurb, although I stupidly put it in a bag where something rough was rubbing against the glossy black side of it... And of course you have to keep cleaning that glossy black for it to look good every day! Looks wise, it beats the Mac hands down, and from what ive heard it was made as samsungs challenge to the mac market. I ...
...I got, this seems very good value for money. Fast, light, losts of memory and goodlooking, it does the job. The only hassles ive had is it slowing down when theres some big programs running at the same time, which I guess is pretty obvious. The other is that the CD burner seems to have gone wrong today - but then again I have used this hardware every day since I bought it. All in all, a great buy for the money. ... Read review

Review of Samsung R40 LWD 5500 - Core 2 Duo T5500 1.66 GHz - 15.4" TFT by Katie2468

Advantages: Lovely bright screen if you like the glass-effect
Disadvantages: None yet but only had two days

Silly me, went shopping at Tesco in Borehamwood and happened by the laptops. On looking at the competition, I bought one of these and it was £499.95 and it has 120 gb hard drive and 2gb ram. Also has Vista Home Premium already installed (unlike the quoted Win XP). Even on the Tesco website it costs £650, so I think that's quite a good deal. I have another laptop a Toshiba Qosmio G20-110, 17 inch screen and when trying to set up the network, inadvertently ...
...the Samsung, so now, unlike the Qosmio, it is on a wireless network but I'm having problems with getting the internet settings copied back to the Tosh, plus the DELETE button is in a different place which is something I'll have to get used to. It would have been nice to have an instruction booklet (ie on paper) as opposed to having it in pdf form but that's only a minor quibble. ... Read review

Advantages: Everything
Disadvantages: keyboard

...own keyboard. However I would not let this put you off buying a really great laptop. Other than this, I would highly recommend this laptop. It also has other usefull features such as a memory card reader and really simple to use Sony software. I have no regrets! ... Read review

One book worth a read.
Review of Apple iBook G4 - PPC G4 1 GHz - 14.1" TFT by Ideate

Advantages: Functionality, Speed, Look
Disadvantages: Minimal

Having not owned an Apple product before, i took a leap of faith into the unknown when i decided to buy this version, now i've had it for over 2years and i am still impressed. Even now it doesn't seem outdated with its slim 14" screen, sleek apple touch keyboard, and white gloss finish. It comes as standard with a 'slot' style loading drive which saves time and potential breakages. The laptop comes with quite a few trick features including colour ...
...hard drive - incase you drop it! The only niggles on this model are the USB port being on the left side which can make apple mice a reach for right handed people and its clunky 'plastic' style click on the track buttons. For the money prepare to be impressed! ... Read review
