Samsung R60 Laptop
Review of Samsung R60 Plus Pentium Dual Core T2310 1.46 GHz - 15.4" TFT by Kenfold

Advantages: Looks and feels superb
Disadvantages: Limited software included

The r60 plus is an excellent comprehensive laptop for the price. It looks a high quality product and operates to the same high standard. The high gloss can be a bit difficult to keep clean though. The performance for the price is great, the processor is fast, quiet and energy efficient and it also includes ATI graphics which is much better than the integrated intel graphics found in many laptops. It also includes Vista and a large hard drive making ... Read review

Samsung R700 - Great budget lapotop
Review of Samsung R700 Core 2 Duo T5450 1.66 GHz - 17" TFT by acnicolaou20

Advantages: Great value for money
Disadvantages: A bit Heavy (not really a grear disadvantage though!)

Having got rid of my desktop PC due to space restrictions in our 1 bed flat, I have been looking for a 17" laptop within a tight budget. After doing some research I came across this laptop and it arrived yesterday. As mentioned its for the flat so portability is not a priority as it is a tad heavy. It comes with Vist Home Premium, the screen is excellent. I like the full size keyboard and the feel of it is excellent. So far its run everything I have ... Read review

Cracking ultra-portable laptop for under a grand
Review of Samsung Q45 LXD T7100 - Core 2 Duo T7100 1.8 GHz - 12.1" TFT by sadoldbag

Advantages: Fast, great spec, looks good, light
Disadvantages: None so far (only had it a week though)

...It is the second Samsung I've had and I love the layout of the keyboard etc - so much better than Dell, which are a bit functional (though good value for money). It's quite small which makes it light and easy to port about, and the screen is big enough, though obviously if you want a bigger screen there are loads out there larger. I expect the smallish screen improves the battery life. The actutal viewing on the screen is good though - it is one ... Read review

Q1 Great product but not for everyone.
Review of Samsung Q1 Celeron M 900 MHz - 7" TFT by havanslevin

Advantages: Extremely Portable
Disadvantages: Low battery Life, No keyboard/Mouse included

...is a great product from Samsung and microsoft. I have had mine for 3 months now and love how easy it is to use. The Q1 features a touch screen and seems to recognise all of my very scruffy hand writing. I don't use the dial keys that included and would like the input panel to be transparent but these aren't big problems. Only recently have I discovered that you can teach microsoft voice to recognise your voice and let you control your operating system. ...
...muddle some words up and believes you are saying something you aren't . The Q1 only has a 900mhz cpu, 40gb hdd and 512mb screen and this may seem bad for the price but the other perks totally make up for this mistake. The Q1 also features bluetooth and a mmc card slot. You can also boot straight into av station avoiding the os to play your music, video and photos this is a feature i don't use a lot but it does let you have the functions of a laptop ... Read review

portability at a reasonable price
Review of Samsung Q45 Core 2 Duo T5450 1.66 GHz - 12.1" TFT by techno_man_37

Advantages: good price for what it can do
Disadvantages: doesnt look that good

Samsung Q45 More and more people are wanting ultra portable laptops these days, and of course they do, after all that's what laptops were made for, if laptops were made you sitting in the same place at home or work all the time then you could simply just get a desktop computer. However the only problem with making smaller laptops is that it usually limit's the amount of ram and hard drive, and even the processor you get with it, and all this limitation ...
...a faster, but bigger laptop. Which doesn't seem fair at all, however I do suppose it takes a lot of work cramming a huge normal sized laptop into a tiny thing like this. Something thought to be impossible back in the old days when the huge desktops were only around. Most ultra portable laptops do come at a price, for example the new sony vaios come in at over £1500, however after people just arnt paying these prices, the costs are now starting to ...
