Beast of a laptop

Advantages: Excellent screen quality, fast and reliable.

One of the disadvantages of having such a large, bright screen is the battery life. I'm lucky to get an hours worth of work done on my laptop without the power supply. Ex-Thinkpad users, beware: bad keyboard.

Advantages: Light-weight, nice LCD, looks good.
Disadvantages: Horrible keyboard, bad drivers, bad build quality.

Excellent value for base componentary.

Advantages: DVD-RW and fantastic razor sharp screen. Good layout.
Disadvantages: No Infra-red, Bluetooth. Lots room to expand.
