Advantages: Fantastic characters, amazing plot Disadvantages: Only that the next book isn't released yet...
...a Wild, one of the last Immortals. Both Mirar and his fellow Immortal Emerahl are eager to escape the eyes of the Gods who will seek to destroy them. In the first book I was very much pro Dreamweaver, and particularly Leiard, who was such a nice, kind, "human" person. Mirar, is now haunted with fears of being linked forever with this other part of him, and yet I don't want to lose the Leiard part. Imi - Princess of the Elai, who live in an underwater ... ...straight in to where the last book left off - right after the battle. The Pentadrians are fleeing, after their defeat by the Circlians.
Once she enters the Temple to become a Servant to the Gods, she feels herself looked down on by the other Servants as she has no Gift. Spurned by her fellow Thinkers now that she is to become a Servant, Reivan feels very much alone. Meanwhile, Mirar is now with Emerahl who is as confused as he is regarding his true ...

Last of the Wilds Review ofLast of the Wilds (Age of the Five) - Trudi Canavanby
Lemonylime
Advantages: Intriguing, beautiful, mysterious Disadvantages: it ended!
I can guarantee anyone who enjoys fantasy will love this, it is absolutely awesome. I became addicted at about page 3 of the first book, which i would definitely reccomend that you read before you start this one or you probably won't have much idea of what is going on. So, the plot.
The story starts with Revian- one of the great things about Canavan's writing is that she is able to include chapters from several differnet points of view without annoying ... ...Reivan, a discontented Thinker in the Pentadrian army, catches the notice of the Voice Imenja when she leads the trapped army to safety from the underground, caved-in mines. Imenja offers her a once in a lifetime oppertunity- to become a Servant of the Gods. But she finds being the only unskilled servant a lot harder than it looks, especially when potential new Pentadrian leader, the stunning Nekuan, is around.
Auraya, still dealing with the betrayal ...

Advantages: great characters and plots, great fantasy novel Disadvantages: none to note as such
...way forward. The last character introduction is that of Princess Imi. In her search for a present for her father's birthday, she decides to head out into open water to the location of the prized sea bells, planning to bring home a worthy present. Yet things turn for the worst when she is captured by the land walkers that were already there harvesting them. This is another great character, and one to pull at the heartstrings, that you will find yourself ... ...the plots and sub-plots are cleverly woven together by Canavan. There is so much to get involved with - each character sucks you more and more into the world that Canavan has created. I have to say that I felt Auraya should be more of a focal point, as she was in the first, at the start of the book. However, those whims quickly faded away as I was yet again hooked to the pages and I couldn't tear myself away. A most intriguing read due to the class ...

A great follow up in the series, leaves you wanting more brilliantly written characterization's.
A great all round read, follow the caricatures through many twists and turns the fact that the author changes caricatures part the way through chapters keeps you reading and wanting more till the end.

Advantages: Addicitive reading with excellent characters Disadvantages: Ending a little lame?
...Voice of the Gods is the last in the TrudiCanavan trilogy - Age of The Five, and because of that I strongly recommend that you read the revious two books; Priestess of the White and Last of the Wilds. This book does refer to them often and regularly, and it would set you up for this book should you read them in advance.
It will also help you to understand and empathise with the characters more.
Righto, onto the book itself.
As stated previously, this book leads on directly from the previous book, with the main character, Auraya, having given up her 'White' status, her status as the highest of the Preists that worship the Circle of Five Gods.
Rumours abound as to why she gave her position up, but the official reason is so that she can remain with the Siyee, a winged people that she feels close to, and wishes to protect...
