We booked our holiday to Spain arlier this year through www.lastminute.com. We were impressed by the itierary supplied by the company, who told us that we would be flown directly to Malaga Airport, Spain.
About a month before the flights, we recieved dozens of alteration emails, informing us that the flights would no longer be direct, and we would have to take flights to Paris, then to Barcelona, and finally to Malaga. (But both ways!)
We tried our best to get hold of Lastminute.com directly, however, we were promised day upon day that action would be taken, regarding the tickets.
We therefore decided to fly with Thompson departing from the UK, and brave the transfers on the way back.
We got to our hotel in Malaga, looked very nice, but was 3*. However, in Lastminute.com's desription of the hotel it was 4*. A bit of a difference ther eh?
After enjoying our break in Spain, we had to endure the journey home. What would have taken a two hour flight, took us eleven hours to return home, 9 of which waiting in airports.
Lastminute.com denied any allegations of false advertising, and refused to give us a partial refund. Therefore, I would reccommend the public to use a different travel company.
The problem is that many of the site's disclamers promised that they would sort any problems raised with them. The question does crop up, why do lastminute.com charge such low prices.? Well, they book cheap flights from other airlines, and give people transfer flights, even when they buy direct. It is a cheap way for them to get their passengers abroad. We flew out not long after with bmibaby, who had the most fantastic service, in comparison to lastminute.com.

Whilst I appreciate that you have been subjected to some particularly bad service I would have liked to read some more information about the site itself like sugarNSpice has said. If you update your review leave me a message in my guestbook and I will re-rate it for you. Vicki :o)

I heard they have become extremely poor since being bought by Travelocity.
