"Laura Mercier Finishing Eyebrush...."

Whilst I do not tend to wear the much eye makeup, I do like to apply extra mascara and eyeshadow if I am on a night out, I don’t bother wearing it when I am at work, I don’t have the time in a morning and I also find that if I have it on all day it can be prone to having a crease mark. For nights out though, I enjoy getting ready and try to allow time to sit and do my eye shadow. The product that I am going to be reviewing today is my Laura Mercier Finish Eye brush. I was recommended this by a friend but was a little hesitant due to initial cost and how much I would use it but she very kindly purchased me this as a present, along with an eye shadow pallet as a birthday gift. Here are my thoughts on the product.

The brush is expensive, it will cost you around the £26.00 mark so I do appreciate it is not the cheapest out there. The brush can be found in a number of different places, the Laura Mercier brand is stocked within the House of Frazer stores as well as it being online at places like Feel Unique and Urban Retreat.

The brush is a black brush with black bristles ad a chrome piece holding it all together in the middle. The brush is quite tall in shape so it gives you the flexibility when sweeping an eyeshadow across the eyebrow but still being able to have a good grip on the brush at the same time as well. The advertising for the Laura Mercier brand is quite minimal; this just looks like a good quality professional brush in my opinion.

To work with it is very good, it picks up the eyeshadow with ease, I find you do need to swirl it in the eyeshadow a little bit to get the desired colour and then it also picks up the colour on all of the bristles as well. The bristles on the brush don’t irritate my skin at all and it also seems quite soft on the skin, I have never suffered any form of irritation from it.

The brush is quite small so it allows me to get into the corner of my eye, which is partially why I wanted this and then build up the colour in the eye area. I also have recently brought a blending brush and with the two brushes working together, you can create the dramatic eye effect.

Whilst I would be more than happy to recommend this brush, it is of great quality, it is very expensive in my opinion. I guess if you were to use this on a daily basis then it would perhaps warrant the cost a little bit more but for me, I do appreciate the lovely gift don’t get me wrong and the quality really does come through, the soft bristles and how it softly applies the colour to the eye area but I just feel it is a little pricey as well.

4 out of 5 from me on this one
