Review of "Laura Mercier Tweezers"
Mum to Alfie.....now 11 weeks old! Will be back reviewing really soon I hope!!! xxx
Whilst I have my eyebrows waxed on a regular basis, there are still those odd few eyebrows that come through and need to be removed, having very dark eyebrows, they are also really noticeable. I threw my old tweezers out just before Christmas, with the party season in full flow, I was trying to do my eye make up one night and tidy my brows up and the tweezers were really not helping! They seemed quite blunt and I just couldn’t get the angle right to get the odd few stray hairs out so it was time to invest in some new ones and after having a quick look around town I decided to invest in some Laura Mercier tweezers, here are my thoughts on them.
The tweezers will cost you around the £18.00 mark. I had no idea what was a good or expensive price but I was in desperate need and got the Laura Mercier one from House of Fraser, there are many cheaper alternatives available but as the Laura Mercier brand is one I have had other items from and been pleased with it, I was happy to pay and see what they were like. They can be found in the Selfridges store as well as House of Fraser where I got mine from as well as online from Amazon or Make up Alley.
The tweezers were slightly different looking to what my old ones looked like, these were still long in shape but had a round loop in the middle. The tweezers were made from stainless steel and have the Laura Mercier name etched on the centre of them. The design is very modern and quite funky looking. The ends of the tweezers are angled as you would expect. They are lightweight and at the same time , have a good grip on them, the shape in my opinion is a really good design, very clever an help you get ta grip for those angles that are a little difficult.
When I first started to use these, compared to my old tweezers, they felt so different to use, they had much more precision about them for when I needed to do the really small hairs, they grip that they had on the individual eyebrows was fantastic, they pulled them out without me having to use any force and as the design allowed me to get at the awkward to reach hairs, they hurt less as I was able to get them with ease, rather than pulling them directly out at a 180 degree angle.
I would be more than happy to recommend these tweezers, they are well designed and they are also worth every penny in my opinion. I am a little concern that perhaps the sharpness will go eventually but at present, these are great and I have been using them since early December. The quality really does come through and these are a product that you certainly get what you pay for with them.
5 out of 5 from me on these
