Having worked at wine merchants and being fortunate enough to have been on several champagne tastings, there are a few champagnes that have the 'wow factor', this is one of them. The bottle looks great and reeks of class and even without a gift box it looks expensive, but not flashy, so would make a great gift for someone special, if a little to expensive for a token gift! The first time I taste this champagne, it was in a Nicolas wine bar. We’d decided, with some colleagues from other wine shops, to do a wine tasting. In fact, we were meeting on evenings quite often, in a shop or in an apartment, putting money aside and go choose bottles for blind tasting (well almost blind, WE were choosing the bottles !)
