Advantages: compact Disadvantages: not up for the job, grass collectiion box dosen't fit properly, cumbersome to use.
I purchased the above mower because of; its size and alleged ease of use and that it is meant to hover. I have a medium to large size garden and this mower was recommended to me as being suitable.
After the first use i discovered it to be cumbersome and not able to cut very well on a slight gradient. The front roller came off and i found that the grass collection box didn't fit properly and tended to move about spilling the cut grass.

The baby of the Rotak series, the 320 offers reliabilty, is lightweight, and most of all VERY affordable from a company that we all know.
The 320 comes with many features, such as a 32cm cutting width, folding handles (for ease of storage), 3-level cutting height adjustment (from 2-6cm), a reasonable 28ltr rear grass collection box (plastic) and motor overload cut-out (in case you run it too hard through rough grass etc).
Having used and tested ... ...anyone looking for an affordable solution to their grass trimming needs. The 1000w motor isn't the most powerfull as motors come but it can take care of a small-medium size garden, say half a tennis court or smaller, if your garden is bigger than this then i would recommend taking at look at her bigger brothers. I would only advise this be used on regularly trimmed grass, the blade tends to chew up long grass and block the collection hole.

...they do not deal with Flymo guarantees any more. When I called Flymo next time adviser on the other side of the line told me that Flymo guarantee covers only: 1. On/off switch and 2. Motor. Nothing else is covered. They made machine with badly designed part. Two plastic pins are supposed to hold fast rotating blade. And luckily for them they do not cover that by guarantee. Be very aware if you are buying this mower. If you are buying something else ...

I recently purchased one of these mowers for my Husband as our new house has a 100ft lawn. He is delighted with the cut he gets from this mower.
The mower is easy to assemble and takes less than 5 minutes to clip together. Once up and running the motor sounds like a futuristic aeroplane - it sounds so good!!
The adjuster lever is on the top of the mower and adjusts by sliding forward and backwards. Very easy.

Review of Bosch Rotak 40
Advantages: Easy to use. Cuts brilliantly. Disadvantages: Like most electric mowers - the cable, but there's not really a way around that!
...have a crack at the Bosch Rotak 34 - a bold decision, especially after the comfort and relative ease of the Flymo's series for my entire home-owning life and I wasn't a big fan of my dads or anyone else’s seemingly big and clunky 'mowers on wheels'.
But what a decision I ultimately made. Mowing the lawn as it says in this title has now become an enjoyable experience - seriously, I actually look forward to doing it! Sad you think? Probably so, but ... ...the Rotak series. Each model appears to go up increments of around £30, so you can actually spend another hundred or so on the top models, but if you don’t have a lot to spend and want a decent mower – then buy the 34. Seriously, it’s top notch. It has six different cutting lengths (which can be easily adjusted) so cuts extremely short and has a huge collection bucket which sits firmly on the rear of the mower.
