THE LIMITATIONS OF THE FLYMO TURBO COMPACT 330 Advantages: compact Disadvantages: not up for the job, grass collectiion box dosen't fit properly, cumbersome to use. I purchased the above mower because of; its size and alleged ease of use and that it is meant to hover. I have a medium to large size garden and this mower was recommended to me as being suitable. After the first use i discovered it to be cumbersome and not able to cut very well on a slight gradient. The front roller came off and i found that the grass collection box didn't fit properly and tended to move about spilling the cut grass. bed design, bed customer support Advantages: quiet Disadvantages: brakes easily, not covered by guarantee ...they do not deal with Flymo guarantees any more. When I called Flymo next time adviser on the other side of the line told me that Flymo guarantee covers only: 1. On/off switch and 2. Motor. Nothing else is covered. They made machine with badly designed part. Two plastic pins are supposed to hold fast rotating blade. And luckily for them they do not cover that by guarantee. Good mower but weak handle Advantages: Light; good grass collection. Disadvantages: weak lower handle ...fixing points). I had a Flymo before this and never had a problem with the handle, so it does seem that there is a design fault with this model. A replacement handle has cost about £17, and, of course, the phone number for Parts is now an 0844 ( the alternative number given on the 'SayNoto0870' site goes unanswered/. Flymo Visimo Lawnmower Advantages: Vision window, rear roller, quiet, metal cutting blade, folding handles and adjustable cutting height. Disadvantages: Visions window does need cleaning now and then, plastic rear roller not perfect. ...and so this is where Flymo stepped in. I wanted a mower that would not only cut and collect the grass but also leave it with that bowling green striped finish, enter the Visimo. Perfect for the small to medium size garden, the Visimo boasts a 1200w motor, 32cm metal cutting blade, height adjustment from 20-60mm, rear roller, and vision collection window enabling the user to ''see'' when the grassbox is full and needs emptying. Not only is it very ... ...but it is a bargain for what you receive in return for the small fee paid. The vision window itself does require a quick wipe now and again to clean off the green grass stain otherwise it gets to the point where you cannot actually see through it. The rear roller is not exceptional, but it does leave that striped effect so many people desire. Hover No More! Advantages: Fair Price, Good At What It Does and Its A Flymo Disadvantages: Its Not A Hover Mower ...last year, our extremely reliable Flymo Turbo Compact 380 retired from its 2 weekly routine of cutting the grass.
