I purchsed this as a Christmas present for my little boy. I had seen some good reviews written on it and thought that it looked like a toy that would keep him busy!
I purchased it online, but it is also available from high street stores. I paid £29.99, but have seen it cheaper since, so look around for deals. It needs 4 C batteries. It did come with batteries for demonstration purposes and they have only just needed replacing. They lasted 4 months.
When it was delivered I was impressed with the initial look of the toy. It was very bright and colourful and I also thought it looked more compact than in the pictures (which is a good thing, as toys can end up taking over your home!)
I wrapped it up and the rest is history......it has been his favourite toy ever since!
Dimensions of the toy are 14.7 x 39.4 x 61.5 cm.
It weighs 3.9 kgs.
The toy is an activity table which sits on blue removable legs. They are easy to remove and just click back in. This is a great idea for children not yet standing as they can sit on the floor and still enjoy playing with the toy. It is recommended for 6 months and upwards.
There are two switches. A blue on/off switch with volume control. A green switch which lets you choose English or French. (Yes! This activity table is billingual. A great idea as children learn from such a young age!)
There is a flip book in the middle of the table. Whichever page you choose determines the table either playing songs or descriptive words (in either English or French) The pictures on the book are of animals playing instruments or with letters, numbers and shapes. The pictures are cute and brightly coloured. The page is sturdy and easy to turn for chubby tiny fingers!
There is a keyboard consisting of four keys, blue, red, green and yellow. These either teach colours or act as musical keys.
A red and orange violin which you can slide and it plays a tune or teaches 'up and down'.
A transparent rattle with colourful beads in that you can spin. This plays a tune as you spin it or the alphabet.
Three coloured shape buttons that you can press down. A triangle, square and circle. Either plays drum sound or colours and shapes.
A trombone slider. This counts to ten or makes a brilliant trombone sound!
An open and shut lidded compartment. This teaches 'open and close', 'Hello and goodbye' or activates singing.
A frog playing a banjo with a handle that you can move. This plays a banjo tune or 'lights on/ light off'.
There are lights surrounding the book which reward you child with some pretty flashing whenever they play with the table.
The alphabet letters and numbers one to ten are also displayed on the table, slightly raised.
This toy can be easily wiped clean with a damp cloth and mild detergent, and when you remove the legs it can be stored quite easily too.
My son absolutely loves this toy. In fact, we all do! His elder brother has fun playing on it with him too!
It is interesting, colourful, bright and informative and teaches cause and effect. It also encourages fine motor skills and helps encourage children to stand.
On the topic of standing, as this table is sturdy, it does support children when they stand. Just be a little bit careful if you have wooden or laminate flooring as it can slide when they first try to pull themselves up onto it. The only thing they could of improved on would maybe be some rubber stoppers on the bottom of the legs.
This toy is one of the best toys I have ever purchased and I would probably of paid more for it, but it is fantastically priced. I have seen activity tables that are more expensive but they are nowhere near as good as this one.
My little boy never tires of playing with it (and he is at that age where he gets bored quickly!) It will probably last him a good while yet.
So, if you are thinking of buying a gift for your little one, or somebody elses, then I cannot recommend this fantastic, clever toy enough!
Advantages: Colourful, educational, musical, english accent Disadvantages: none!
This toy is a delight! It has kept my daughter (and most of our visitors!) amused for hours. It is a bright, noisy (thankfully there are two volumes so I can control the noise!) educational toy that is appealing to little ones. It has been a hit with my daughter and my friends babies. This toy is suitable for babies aged six months and over although to be perfectly honest I let my daughter play with it at four months. The table has detachable legs ... ...the legs and sit her on my lap and play with her, she liked the noise and colour instantly and though she wasn't able to play with all the areas on it properly she did enjoy playing with the rattle.
This toy has two different settings- one musical and one that teaches letters, colours, numbers and opposites. The book in the centre has a turning page that allows you and your child to change the setting.
The first page depicts a keyboard and letters, ...

Advantages: Many different activities to keep the little one amused Disadvantages: Batteries don't last too long
I bought this item for my 4 month old son even though the description said from 6 months +. Although he can't stand up (or sit) on his own yet independantly, he loves this table. There are many tunes, activities and fun things to do on it. I just put my little one on my lap and plonk the table in front of him and off he goes, plonking away on all the little buttons.
It also teaches young ones to learn basic French (like numbers 1-3) and to say hello, ...
