Whilst shopping I managed to drop on what I thought was a bargain, it was a twin pack of the books that go with the leap frog learning system. I searched high and low and managed to buy a system... more

WHAT DOES IT LOOK LIKE? This toy is made of hard blue and white plastic, it has a handle at the top to carry around, under the hande youl find the slot for the cartrage. on the back there is an attached pillow, this was a great idea. and under the pilow the battery appartment. and lastly the front has a clip which the book inserts into. so overall well built, and durable. WHAT DOES IT COME WITH? THis toy comes with one book and cartrige called one bear in the bedroom. The Little Touch LeapPad is made by the LeapFrog company who seem to specialise in computerised learning systems for little children to help them with their reading and numbers. The Little Touch LeapPad is recommended for children between the ages of six and thirtysix months before they move onto the next systems. When you get your system it comes as quite a sturdy plastic board with a cushion effect underneath which makes it more comfortable for children to sit with it on their knees. The pad also comes in either pink or blue, but it doesn't matter what colour you get as they both do the same ... more

    Advantages Advantages good idea

Disadvantages Disadvantages a bit difficult for young children

My eldest daughter had this when she was young, it is a electronic story book learning aid designed for babies from birth upwards. You have an on off button and a volume control button that you can higher or lower. You have to buy book sets to go on this computer which are not cheep, my computer cost me £70 and each book set cost £20 from toysrus. In each book set you get a book which is made of paper but is magic, it doesnt rip, it creases but wont rip no matter how much my daughter tugged at it or dribbled on it which i thought was realy good and you get a plastic cartridge aswell, the ... more

    Advantages Advantages educational and fun!

    Disadvantages Disadvantages paper pages

Well i had been hankering for one of these since before my son was even born. They start at 6months and this particular one lasts until they are 3 years old. It is a clever little machine that knows where you are on each page by the pressing of the green go button and the use of a cartridge which plugs into the top of the unit. Each time you turn the page you press the 'GO' button and then there are lots of pictures for baby to touch and each one will have sounds or music or a song to listen to. Tell them the story or just listen to exciting melodies that are sure to keep you and baby ... more

Advantages Advantages pages cant be ripped

Disadvantages Disadvantages should have made the pages so they couldn't crumple up

We bought this before my daughter was one for her x-mas she was about 8 -9 months old I sit her down from time to time and we go over the stories and she points to the pages and so on and loves to talk the book lasts and does right up to age that they stop using it but I can see this lasting her to she is about 5 or so as you can progress up the stages. Babies grow so quickly and the system is designed to grow with them! Each book lets you choose from 3 learning experiences, each designed to keep your child engaged and stimulate development. LittleTouch LeapPad learning system is designed to ... more
