Advantages good idea

Disadvantages a bit difficult for young children

My eldest daughter had this when she was young, it is a electronic story book learning aid designed for babies from birth upwards.

You have an on off button and a volume control button that you can higher or lower.

You have to buy book sets to go on this computer which are not cheep, my computer cost me £70 and each book set cost £20 from toysrus.

In each book set you get a book which is made of paper but is magic, it doesnt rip, it creases but wont rip no matter how much my daughter tugged at it or dribbled on it which i thought was realy good and you get a plastic cartridge aswell, the plastic cartridge has to go in the top of the computer and the book slots onto the front. The computer is made of plastic and has a cushion on the back of it to stop it hurting there legs wholst playing with it.

Each book is a different theme, all educational though, one of the books we had was called if i were which taught colours and animals.

You have a choice of 3 settings on the 2nd page of each book which allows you to pick the difficulty level.

This book will read the story to you if you press the green go sighn and will allow you to press the pictures in the book and will tell you different things.

This toy was all a good idea at the time but realy never took off in our house, we still have the thing now and my daughters at 3 and nearly 5 years old still havent grasped that they need to press the green go sign on every page so im not convinced this little touch leap pad is all it is cracked up to be, it needs an adult constantly helping.
