... The only different to the one you can buy now is that is comes with lower case or upper case letters and you can buy extra letters from Leapfrogs in uppercase but you cannot buy lowercase letters. This I find annoying as I would like both sets to help with my daughter's development..

Advantages: English accent Disadvantages: Listening to the alphabet over and over again
When my daughter was 18 months old, my partner and me struggled to think of what to get the little one for Christmas so she got loads of little things for Christmas. This was one of the things we got her and it is still being used three years later.
You get 1 main unit which is about 9.5 x 10.5 cm and about 3.5 cm deep. You also get 26 magnets one of each letter of the alphabet. Each letter is on the same size rectangle with one curved edge. All ... ...are blue, yellow or green. All of it is magnetic, unit and letters, so it can go on your fridge or any other surface you have which is magnetic but the fridge is the obvious place.
At the bottom of the main unit is a red slide switch, for OFF/ON quiet /ON load. Just to the right of the switch is a red musically note, if you press this note it says the alphabet. Next to that is the speaker. Just above these switches is where you put the letters. ...

Advantages: Fun and easy way to learn the alphabet. Disadvantages: .........................................................................
...Yes! Another great toy by LeapFrog, but this time one for the kitchen, or anywhere else you may want to take it for that matter. My daughter has a habbit of following me everywhere I go, and with her always comes some sort of toy to play with. Having a very small kitchen, its always quite hard to move around when shes on the floor with her toys, so I was so greatful when I fell across the FridgePhonics by LeapFrog.
FridgePhonics is a magneticletter set which helps children to learn there alphabet through letter names and sounds.
FridgePhonics cotains 1 base unit and 26 letters ( 1 of each letter of the alphabet). The unit is approx 3.5 inches high by 3 inches wide and is green and blue in colour, and has a picture of the well known LeapFrogfrog. There is a space in the middle of the unit for the letters to be placed...

Advantages: Totally English Speaking (no Zeee's) Disadvantages: No disadvantages
...This is a wonderful little toy from "Leapfrog" which helps to teach the alphabet in full english. I tend to get fed up with hearing the "zeee's" in talking toys, so it is a pleasure to hear the standard "Zed".
This toy is wildly available from most toy shops. It is colourful and sings the alphabet when pressed. It has interchanging letters so that you can hear the sound of each letter seperately. It has an "off" switch and two sound levels. It takes 3 x AAA Batteries which come with the unit and they are easy to replace using a Phillips Screwdriver. The unit its self is approx 3" x 3.5" and the letters are about 1" x 1.5" and the letters fit perfectly in the unit without any trouble.
The reason I love this toy is beacuse it is magnetic and sticks to the front of our fridge.... It is perfect for me to keep an eye on my...

Advantages: Fantastic Way to Learn the Alphabet Disadvantages: Rather annoying tune which accompanies each letter
...We bought our daughter this for Christmas 3 months before her second birthday ....... she loved it. We were staying with family and by the end of Christmas day everyone new the tune which accompanied each and every letter ....... the adults were getting slightly aggrivated by its repititious tune but our daughter had already picked a number of the letters and there sounds (phonics plays a big part in this product). She is now 2 and a half and can say her alphabet accompanied by that fantastically annoying tune perfectly.
Despite THAT tune it was certainly one of the best gifts we've bought her so far. Not only does it keep her occupied in the kitchen, keeping her out of harms way,but it's a great way to learn the alphabet and the sounds they make and the way they look ...... l think the grown up's can put up with tune...

When my daughter had her first birthday party she received so many toys and clothes (she did'nt even bother to look at some of them!), and one of them was this little radio that teaches children from 18 months upward how to pronounce the alphabet. She... more

This has got to be one of the easiest, most fun and most painless ways to help children to learn to read. My daughters primary school uses these books and all the children can read by the time they reach year 2. I would recommend them to any parent who more
