... LeapFrogMyFirstLeapPadBook - Pack of 3
I purchased this pack of 3 for £19.99 online when I got Boy's Leappad, and all things considered It was a good buy, to buy the three books I got separately would have cost me more. Recommend shopping around for the best price, would say what I paid is an OK deal.
Different combinations of books are available but in my box I got these three:
Dora the Explorer - " To the Rescue "
Thomas and Friends - " Thomas and the School Trip"
Disney Winnie the Pooh - " Pooh's Honey Tree "
All of the books for the MyFirstLeapPad are "two in one" flip books with one story side and one activity side. The covers are fairly thick shiny card and the pages are thinner but still durable. The books I got in my set.....

Advantages: Easily portable, Lots of different books available, FUN learning toy Disadvantages: none that spring to mind.
... MyFirstLeappad
Basically it's an interactive educational toy aimed at pre-school children aged 3-5. We started with the Leap-pad-Little-touch when the Boy was smaller and moved onto this one when he was 3.
The MyFirstLeapPad Learning System itself is mainly blue with a few other colours here and there, like the 'magic pen', speaker, and on off button. It's quite a compact unit with a handy carry handle to one side, it's lightweight and easy to transport so a good toy for traveling in car or taking to Granny's house and the like.
How much ?
We bought ours for just over £25 online, are available from many stores Argos, Toys 'r' Us etc and not hard to find but I would recommend shopping around online for the best deals. It comes with a book and cartridge to get you started - we got "Leap's Big Day...

Advantages: Favourite characters in the book, same story as film, great learning games Disadvantages: If your kid doesn't like the film Disney Pixar ' Cars' don't bother
... MyFirstLeapPad - Disney Pixar Cars Book
Out of the tonnes of "Cars" merchandise out there, this was by far one of the best buys I made. It has proved to have long lasting entertainment value unlike some of the models cars which lose their novelty value pretty fast.
All of the books for the MyFirstLeapPad are "two in one" flip books with one story side and one activity side. The cover is fairly thick shiny card and the pages are thinner but still durable. The cartridge has a matching picture of McQueen so easy to find the right one to go with the book.
The pictures on and in the 'Cars' book are cartoon-style rather than the flashy pixar computer generated characters from the film which I found a bit disappointing to honest, though all the favorites are here and still very recognisable it just lacks the flashy pixar...

When my daughter had her first birthday party she received so many toys and clothes (she did'nt even bother to look at some of them!), and one of them was this little radio that teaches children from 18 months upward how to pronounce the alphabet. She... more
If you have young children, you most likely know who Dora the Explorer is and all about her talking backpack. This game is on a DVD format, so your child will need a DVD drive on the computer they play it on. This means, if like us, you tarted up a... more
A many of you who read my other reviews may know, my son is a huge fan of Winnie the Pooh. I seem to be buying endless Winnie the Pooh paraphernalia to fuel my son's enjoyment and imagination. However, Winnie the Pooh is not where his love for Disney... more
