OUR EXPERIENCE
My four year old son Harry is starting Reception in September. I wanted him to have an introduction to writing before he started school. When i had asked him to copy my letters on paper he hadnt been very keen. But when he saw this lovely eye catching book, his attitude changed. He loved the way the pen came with the book- i told him it was his own magic pen to write magic letters with. This really appealed to him- i think he thought the book had been made just for him. He enjoyed tracing the outlines of the letters and was able to grip the smooth pen easily. With 26 pages to go at, there was always a new page to discover. The pictures really caught his attention- the bright colours are fantastic. I really feel this has given him a positive introduction to writing. We store it in his room and only he is allowed to write in it. It is his own special book- the only book he is allowed to write in. He enjoys wiping the pen marks away almost as much as doing the writing!
