Suing Me, Suing You
Review of moneyclaim.gov.uk by rdobbie

Advantages: (see text of op)
Disadvantages: (see text of op)

...insurance premiums. But Moneyclaim.gov.uk is actually a website produced by our own wonderful government. To be more specific this website is run by the Court Service of England and Wales, the people who do such a fine job of punishing all the baddies out there. I stumbled upon Moneyclaim Online earlier this year when I was planning to sue Wilcon Homes over the faulty boiler in my house (that's a whole story in itself which you can read more about ...
...sued a few people in the past; most notably NTL when they used to be called Cable & Wireless, and a dealer who sold me a car which I later found out was an accident write-off. I don't suffer fools (or crooks) gladly. On both of these previous occasions I won my case, although I had found the system to be intimidating and rather bewildering for ordinary people (or the 'information underclass' as we are sometimes labelled - those of us who didn't go ... Caveat Emptor
Review of The Lawyer by CareBear

Advantages: A collection of useful resources and up-to-date news on the legal profession
Disadvantages: Varies in relevance

...there is to know about The Lawyer magazine/paper. It will probably arrive in your post every Monday, you’ll flick through it sometime before Wednesday if you’re not too busy and if you haven’t managed that it will go into the bin, unopened about three weeks later having gathered dust on the floor in the meantime. If you are not a lawyer, you may be wondering why you’re even bothering to read any further. Do. If you are in business and/or if you ...
...pens and ink pots. The profession has come of age and technology is slowly seeping into even the darkest corners of the most ivory of towers. The Lawyer is, for want of a better description, media for the profession. It takes two forms, one printed and one online. It is the online resource that is of most relevance to the general consumer and is probably the format least appreciated by the profession and so it is this that I will concentrate on. ... A complete nightmare
Review of easier2move.co.uk by michaeltidd

Advantages: erm...
Disadvantages: Awful customer service, bad conveyancing

This conveyancing company based in Southend claim to be able to carry out your house sale/purchase quickly and easily over the internet, while allowing you to keep up with events by logging in 24 hours a day! It's a farce. According to their website, and in particular my account details, they last reviewed my case yesterday, and the last thing that happened was that we returned a fee. In theory the next thing to happen should be the exchange of contracts ...
...over a month ago. There customer service is atrocious (long lunches, staff on holiday, no response to letters/emails, long time "on hold") and there workmanship on the conveyancing is no better - we had to tell them to check out the conservatory's planning permission. My advice is steer well clear of these cowboys - don't make the same mistakes as we did! ... Read review

Compensation for victims of crime in the UK
Review of Compensation4Crime.com by sukeysukey

Advantages: excellent lawyers; honesty and integrity; speed of service
Disadvantages: none

http://www.compensation4crime.com Compensation4Crime, based at http://www.compensation4crime.com is a company providing legal support services to victims of violent crime. Victims of violent crime in the UK are entitled to pursue compensation from the government in the form of a Criminal Injuries Compensation Authority payment. Unfortunately the process is long and complicated and often the award made by the CICA has to be appealed. Compensation4crime ...
...the paperwork, advising on the prospects of success and the appropriate amount of damages to be expected, gathering necessary evidence etc and will also pursue any appeal/ review necessary, even as far as a Judicial Review of the CICA scheme. The site is well constructed and simple to navigate - as is applying, which can be done online or alternatively you can request that one of their Solicitors contacts you direct at a time of your convenience ...
