I loved the Lego Star Wars games so when it came to Lego Batman, something I love just as much as Star Wars, I wanted to grab it as quickly as possible. However, I do know my bit about Batman so my expectations were high when it came to the look and feel of the game. Luckily Travellers Tales have set the bar high and with the right amount of humour and clever game design, Lego Batman is a great game for anyone to play - even if they don't love Batman.
When I shoved the disc into my Xbox, I first noticed that the games theme is a lot darker than the previous. Where the previous games had been quite light-hearted, Gotham City is treated as a far darker place. This is not to say that that it is there isn't humour, it's just it's not as obvious as before. Also, the colours are made a lot more darker to complete Gotham's dark, gritty feel, but the visual style still jumps out at you, which really is good because if it were all treated to gloomy - it wouldn't be much like a Lego game.
Onto game play, and like Lego Indiana Jones, it hasn't changed. This could be good or bad depending on how you look at it, because if you love the way the Lego games play, mashing x to kill the enemies and holding b to build studs - then fine. But if you're someone wanting a bit of change then you'll be disappointed as its really all the same with the look of Batman. You collected studs, break apart scenery, solve puzzles and of course, fight baddies. However sometimes you deal with occasional boss fight but it really isn't difficult, especially because you get unlimited lives. The Lego games wouldn't be Lego games if they didn't have some vehicle part to them and of course Batman has it - which is good because it adds some variety to the game. You can also play as the villains viewpoint, which is much, much better because mainly - everybody loves to be the baddie, but also the baddies display the most personality.
There are some problems however, such as the fact you cn really only play this with another person because the A.I. partner doesn't really do much. It may help you get the past the puzzles but apart from that, it just stands there doing nothing. And the fun of playing the Lego games is playing it with someone else, smashing up stuff and grabbing studs with a friend is much then being by yourself.
Another problem with the game is that even though it looks good on the Xbox, with a nice presentation - it doesn't really have the link with the comics or films like the previous games had. In fact, it kind of feels like the previous games just with a different template such as the main hub where you choose your levels. In Lego Batman this is obviously the Bat cave, but it has the same layout as the temple in Indianan Jones and the Mos Eisley Cantina. Each level is designed around getting to the boss and little is made to connect them to the films.
Overall, the game isn't bad - it has the same game play, and has some nice visuals but the fact that it doesn't really have the same feel as the previous Lego games really does let it down. It's great if you're a major fan of Batman but if you're not you're going to feel disappointed. There are some things that make it a bit different to the rest, such the playing as the baddie but other than that, it's just another Leog game with a Batman template.
Advantages: Fun for all ages.. Disadvantages: No online multiplayer :(
...so glad they did! Lego Batman is by far my favourite out of the lego series on the Xbox 360. I ended up playing the entire game with my boyfriend, it's so easy on the brain, and fun to play, you can spend hours running around Gotham City, defeating the Villains, or why not play as the Villains? The choice is yours! There are 30 levels in total, 15 of them you play as The Heroes, and 15 You play as the Villains, however. You can only play the Villain ... ...that can suck up coloured lego blocks, to put into a machine to build various obects). The levels are pretty simple, infact the whole game is, but its so much fun. Your mission is to catch all of Gothams Villains, such as The Joker, Penguin, Ice Man, and Clayman etc, all of which have their own levels in which you have to defeat them on. Once you have completed each of the levels as Batman and Robin, you unlock the Villains side of that story, in ...

Lego Batman Review ofLego Batman (Xbox 360)by

Advantages: Lego idea is "original" Disadvantages: But been done 3 times before :(
Lego Batman is an average game. I can't say fairer than that. Lego Star wars was a breakthrough for gaming captivating both young and old audiences. It had we playing for hours. Unfortunately with this game there comes the feeling of "flogging a dead horse"...It's all the same as the previous two Lego Star wars games, and Lego Indiana Jones. Its all been done before. All the developers have done is move the game to a comic book. Sure all your favorite ...

...immense due to the fact it has being around longer than both the PS3 and Wii, you will get a lot more choice with a 360. The Xbox also has the best selection of exclusive titles from Gears of War and Halo to the immense Bioshock, although you can now buy this on the PS3, Bioshock was originally exclusive to the Xbox.
As many of you will know when the Xbox360 was first released there were numerous bugs such as the infamous, red light. However, Microsofts latest versions of the console are all fixed and if you have got an older console Microsoft take full responsibility and replace your console for free, although you may have to wait up to 3 weeks to recieve it.
I have played a selection of games on the Xbox360 including the likes of GTA IV, Prince Of Persia, Gears Of War, Bioshock, LegoBatman and PES 2009, and I can safely say that all...
