Nowadays Advent calendars have gone through a revolution, and as well as chocolate calendars you can get ones containing toys, rather like the one I am reviewing. ★ Lego ★ For anyone who hasn't come across Lego before, here is a brief background. Lego make a range of interlocking plastic building bricks. They also make windows, roof bricks, wheels, gears, pulleys and little Lego figures, otherwise known as Lego people. They make a wide range of different themed sets including Harry Potter Lego, Pirates, Castles and Star Wars Lego. ...people have different tastes ~Packaging~ The packaging depends on the product, for certain products like Duplo or the boxes full of normal bricks the package is a strong place sand castle style bucket (with lid), but for box sets it's generally some cheap thin cardboard. This appears to be strong though. ~Value for dosh~ Well...... I would say it's quite expensive, but it's hard to compare saying they appear to be the only one in the field. I know people spend around £30 for sets such as the police station and £6 for an individual 'Lego Racer' car. This does seem somewhat extortionate saying it only costs them a few pence to make. ~Conclusion~ Anyone know a child without Lego? No. Lego is a classic toy like Barbie or Action Man every child (or adult) will use. It is expensive, yet fun, and wastes hours of your time... Read review

...time ago. The reason I recommend it is because there are lots of vehicles and prisons which go with the police builing itself, which makes it a bigger project and thus more enjoyable. 4. Along the lines of big constructions, look out for lego castles as they are very fun to build especially because of the turrets and ramparts. 5. The other thing I recommend you look out for are the Exploriens lego. These consist of ships and buggies. I have a number of big Explorien ships and they are fun to construct and have many "features" on them - like hatches and buggies stored inside, etc. I can't off hand remeber how much different size lego models differ in price, but it won't be much whatever you by and if tis staying with you for a long time and then you're passing it on for someone else to enjoy I don't think the price will blow you over...
