...~ The packaging depends on the product, for certain products like Duplo or the boxes full of normal bricks the package is a strong place sand castle style bucket (with lid), but for box sets it's generally some cheap thin cardboard. This appears to be strong though. ~Value for dosh~ Well...... I would say it's quite expensive, but it's hard to compare saying they appear to be the only one in the field. I know people spend around £30 for sets such as the police station and £6 for an individual 'Lego Racer' car. This does seem somewhat extortionate saying it only costs them a few pence to make. ~Conclusion~ Anyone know a child without Lego? No. Lego is a classic toy like Barbie or Action Man every child (or adult) will use. It is expensive, yet fun, and wastes hours of your time. It led me to theorise that one of the reasons why boys seem to pick up early maths in school rather better than girls may be that small boys are often a lot more interested in building with Lego than girls are. For anyone wanting to help their children understanding simple arithmetic, Lego bricks can be used like Cuisenaire rods for counting, estimating, calculating and so on. But it's important to keep any such 'teaching' low-key and occasional, realising that most of these things will be learned by the child without any help from an adult, so long as they continue to consider the Lego fun! * Value for money * Lego kits are really quite expensive for what they are, and just one or two kits on their own aren't very useful from the point of view of being creative. We have plenty of Lego and have always found it to be durable, the design to be good and the manufacturing of excellent quality. The design of this, as with the other Lego Star Wars kits is excellent. The end product has an authenticity and is truly something to be proud to own. The TIE Interceptor kit is one of the smaller ones, with 212 pieces, but it still manages to look like the original, with flexible wing panels and a cockpit that opens... Read review
