I bought this Lego set for my boyfriend for valentines day. I thought it was really cute because you can make three different mini animals with the lego - a monkey, a duck and a dinosaur (or lizard-type thing!) You can only make one of the animals at a time, there are not enough lego pieces in the set to make more than one.
This Lego set is from the 'LegoCreator' range, which are meant to be creative and imaginative designs for children (though *I* personally think they suit any age!)
The Lego comes in a plastic silver box with a yellow lid which is rectangular in shape. There is a picture on the front of the box with the different animals you can make. The lid easily pops on and off the box and it means that you can keep the instructions and the left over spare Lego parts safe and secure.

The Legocreator box 6161 is a great starter, or continuation box. At the Lego shop http://shop.lego.com/Product/?p=6161 this toy costs £9.91. I suspect in the Amazon add they have got the wrong picture and number of the box with the price 19.99 the bigger box number 6166 costs 19.99p,
The Lego comes in a sturdy deep rectangular blue box with a lid.
I know from experience what an advantage it is to have a good sturdy box to keep Lego in. It keeps all the Lego together in one place. Keeps Lego away tidily.
The card boxes break fairly easily. Much easier to have a big tub for your child to put all the Lego pieces in. Remember do encorage your child to pick them all up they are painful to stand on with bare feet.

When my grandson visited us he brought some Lego with him. He had the LegoCreatorLEGO Mini Flyers LEGO 4918 set with him. This is a Lego kit in a pocket sized plastic container. There are not very many Lego pieces in this set but enough to make a airplane model and then when he?s built this zoomed it around in the air a few times he can take it to bits and build a different model. This kit contains bricks that will make 3 different models. Not all the bricks are used for each individual model.
Inside the container is a sheet of paper with the instructions for building these models.
My grandson aged 6 found it fairly easy to follow the instructions. Each model took him nearly ½ hour to complete.
