Advantages Plastic box, 3 model in 1 box
Disadvantages Recommended retail price is a little high for the set
This lego creator mini fire engine set is good little set to keep the kids occupied on weekends away and holidays as it comes in a handy plastic box. The 69 pieces provide a good variety of different pieces.
It includes instructions to build 3 different models all of which are good models in their own right.1) The mini fire engine which has a ladder that hinges and rotates on a turntable and is probably my favourite model of the 3 (4/5)
2) The mini fire chiefs jeep is the second model which doesn't have any moving parts other than the wheels and it is probably the least favourite of the 3 models because of this (3/5)3) The mini fire helicopter comes a very close second to the mini fire engine and has working rotors and a hinged tails (4/5)
I think the recommended retail price is a little high, but it is possible to find it for less than £4 if you shop around which I think is a fair price for the set. It would also be fun to have 2 or 3 copies of this set to tackle larger playroom emergencies and would be a good choice if your local toy shop is having a 3 for 2 offer.This like other creator sets the mini fire engine makes up for the lack of mini figures buy encouraging more imaginative and creative model building.
