Lego 6161 Lego Box......

The Dummy Fairies have at last come to our house and taken away all of Jack's dummies and replaced them with this box of Lego. He has been fairly good with the idea that the fairies have made a swap that is acceptable so fingers crossed it has worked and then it will be worth the money!

I paid £12.99p for this box of Lego from Argos the other day. I expect you could get it cheaper if you searched for it on the internet but as I had decided to present it to Jack from the Fairies last night I need it sooner than waiting for it to be delivered. It does however seem like a fair price as you are able to make up 15 different ideas that they suggest and give the instructions for. However there are far more things that can be made up with the bricks that are contained within this box.

The instructions that are given with the box show how to put together a farmer girl, a house front with a door which opens and closes, a snail and there are other pictures of pieces that do not have the directions for building but from the pictures you can see which bricks to use and how it goes together. These other pieces include a crocodile, a couple of boats, a fish and a crab, a penguin and many more.

The box has a ton of bricks of many different colours: white, red light green, dark green, black, orange, blue and yellow. So not only can the bricks be used to build what is shown in the leaflet but also be used with other bricks we already have to make towers or houses or indeed anything our imagination desires.

The box has an age range of 4+ but Jack is not even 3 yet and he is rather good with all Lego pieces. He does need a hand from time to time but I don't mind buying items such as these for him as I know he will be able to get many more years of play out of them. Also Himself does like to make up the bits too so I get a bit of peace and quiet from the pair of them for a short while, bliss!

As with all Lego items this box is of a good standard. The bricks fits together well and can be taken apart easily. The instructions are easy to follow and we get a lot of play out of it. The bonus with this item of Lego is that it comes in its own box and this make storing it easy and keeps it all together although there are far from enough bricks to fill it up but we have added some of our collection to it so we now need to get another box!!

So to conclude, I would highly recommend this box of Lego for quality and value. It is well worthy of a 5/5 star rating. Perfect for building imaginations!
