I think caio has got the wrong picture , when I next take my camera to my daughters I will take some photos of the duplo Lego zoo for caio .
Let me tell you about Lego duplo zoo as it would make a super Christmas present. A lot of Adrian's zoo Duplo is Duplo saved from my 29 year old daughters set she had when about 3 or 4 years old. So from this you can tell it is very durable I think it will become a family heirloom.
One of the zoo sets you can buy is the baby zoo available from http://shop.lego.com/product/?p=4962&LangId=2057&ShipTo=UK for £5.99. . This set contains a zoo keeper; one has a spade and a few bricks. It has an elephant, a giraffe, a bear and a lion cub. There are 18 pieces in total. I think this set would be a good addition to any Duplo Lego your child has it will add to the play scenarios, or could be used on its own with or put any other pieces ..
The next set of zoo in Duplo bricks is the friendly zoo found at the Lego shop above for£29.99p. This set compromises of two zoo keepers 8 animals including a crocodile a panda, mummy and baby elephant, a giraffe, a zebra. Lion and lioness. There are also some zoo buildings in this kit and some plants and trees There are 84 pieces in this set. There are plenty of pieces to use this with out any other duplo pieces or again you can add standard Duplo bricks to this set to make a zoo adventure.
Another zoo set is the zoo vehicles Found at the Lego site above for £19.95. looking at this set I think it would make a super addition for any Duplo set or just to be used on is own. This set has a tractor and trailer, a zebra camouflaged truck. There are these 2 vehicles plus trailer with some cargo to load onto the back of them. There are also 2 zoo keepers and 3 animals a mummy cheeter its baby and a panther. There is also a couple of bricks and some zoo scenery bricks, 37 pieces in total
The next set I am looking at is the Lego Duplo zoo this comes in a green plastic tub this is very durable and practical I have seen the tub at many play schemes. The set costs £29.99p again from the Lego site. This set has two figures in it and lots of bricks there are 128 pieces in total. I do not have this set to check what is in it but in the picture of this set on http://shop.lego.com/bytheme/product.aspx?p=5481&cn=385, shows bricks that make a zebra , bricks that make a giraffe bricks that make an elephant . Some of there bricks have eyes and other facial features on. I can see no individual animal bricks in this set but there may be some. The picture shows a couple of fences a few flowers and some leaves for a tree
Next zoo set is the giant zoo. This has 126 pieces and costs £49.00p from the Lego manufacturer's site. Now this is a really super set has 14 animals, monkeys, penguins elephants lions zebras, polar bears. Adults and baby animals there are caves grass and trees. Bananas, carrots and leaves for the animals to eat. There are fences to make enclosures. A zoo keeper and 4 visitors are included in this set. So this would be a super set for that doting uncle or grandparent to give. I am not sure how this is packed you may need to buy a large plastic storage box to keep it in,

Now play value, excellent play value from all these sets depends on how big /deep your pocket is ass to which you might purchase
The Duplo Lego zoo sets are suitable for children from 18 months/2 years and 5 /6 years old, depending on your Childs ability and development. These set will help develop your Childs imagination. There is scope for your child to make cages / houses for the animals. They can make a zoo for the play people to visit and for the zoo keepers to work at. The animals can be transported on trucks; they feed them with the banana and grass bricks. The scenes are only as limited as your Childs imagination. This set would be good as a pre zoo visit or an after zoo visit where you can talk about the animals you might see. As well as providing cues for imagination this set will be good as it has mother/ father and baby animals so you can talk about big, small comparing sizes looking at how big they are and how big you are.
Duplo Lego is good for little fingers developing motor skills; Duplo is twice the size of standard Lego, the smaller Lego is too fiddly and small for younger children. You will still have to watch though as some of these duplo pieces fit nicely in a Childs mouth. The smaller Lego is compatible with the Duplo bricks they will join together. You can use these zoo Duplo pieces as a tool for learning colour and number. Name the colours of the bricks asking your child to pass you bricks which are a certain colour. Count the animals and the bricks. If you expose your child to the vocabulary for numbers and colours from a very early age they will pick these up very quickly
Duplo bricks are very safe, light, hard plastic bricks. Lovely primary colours. There are many different play sets of duplo bricks to suit most childs and adults interest. . Duplo bricks are an ideal first brick the set can be built up. Bricks can be bought in sets from about £3 or £4. Duplo is made by the Danish Lego toy company. The first simple bricks made in 1969 and over the years have developed to the range of bricks we see today. The duplo logo is the rabbit we see on all their boxes. Nice review. I used to love Duplo, I got a Duplo Zoo set when I was younger and my nephews and niece still play with it today :-) I think they love it a much as I used to :-) Jules x

You can't beat Lego/Duplo for kids. It's a shame Ciao can't get the right picture for this as I'm looking for Duplo kits right now. The problem I'm having is that because the bricks are so big most vehicles etc only require 3/4 pieces which isn't very challenging. These sound good.
