Let's get this out of the way first of all: I love Star Wars. It's been a staple part of my life since I was about 12, and I have done a lot of Star Wars related things in my life. I've read almost all of the books, played a lot of the games (I've even played Yoda Stories, that's how deep my devotion runs) and even presented a two hour stand-up show all about the weird and wonderful parts of the universe.
With that said, this review comes with a condition: If you have already played/own one of the other Lego Star Wars games, only buy this at a reduced price. It won't present much of a different experience than you are already used to. However, if you can get it at a good price, then by all means pick it up, if only for the extra 1000 achievement points.
Lego Star Wars: The Complete Saga combines the best aspects of Star Wars with the imaginative ideas presented by the Lego franchise, a franchise now synonymous with developer Traveller's Tales. Taking familiar aspects of the six films, Lego Star Wars places you in the shoes of the film's heroes as they play through the film's main action scenes. If that sounds pretty basic, there is more.
Certain characters have special abilities, which you use to get to hard-to-reach areas or special areas. For example, those who thought Jar Jar Binks was absolutely useless in the films...were right. In the game, however, he is the first character you unlock who can do a super-high double jump. As a hint, if you kill him a few times you get an achievement. It is so totally worth it.
Once you have been through the game with the storyline's normal characters, a new mode of play opens up called Free Play. This allows you to play any level as any character you have unlocked through normal play, and also any of the characters you have purchased using Lego studs, the game's currency. Ever wondered how Darth Maul would figure teaming up with Han Solo? Well, wonder no more.
Once you're done with the Free play mode, there's a few more things left to do. Various bits and pieces in the cantina (the game's opening locale) are interactive, and there are some bonuses to be found around the game as well as a Challenge mode, which encourages you to try and find 10 items dotted around each level within a 10 minute time limit.
There's even a Bounty hunter mode, where you use the famous bounty hunters from Empire Strikes Back to track down a specific character in a particular level. If all the other things in this game aren't enough, right there is your money's worth. Add in 2 player Xbox live
However, that's not to say that the game is perfect. In terms of graphics, although the graphics look good, there is not a huge amount of difference between the graphics of this and previous versions. Also, although this is probably not surprising given my previous comments, this game can become a compulsion. What's more depressing, however, is when you get to about 86% complete and lose your hard drive due to your console getting 3 red lights. I don't wish that on my worst enemies.
Let it be said, however, that this is a great game, and an absolutely essential purchase if you have never played any of the Lego games.
Advantages: VALUE FOR MONEY Disadvantages: MAKES YOU KEEP PLAYING WHEN YOU SHOULD BE DOING OTHER THINGS
LEGO STAR WARS THE COMPLETE SAGA XBOX 360 VERSION
Lego star wars the complete saga is a fully comprehnsive game. All six films are included. Altogether there are 36 normal levels and then there are ten bounty hunter missions. Also there are 6 bonus levels. The aim of each level is to achieve four things, 1. being the score to achieve jedi status, 2, completing the level in story mode, 3 finding all the 10 white lego bricks. 4, also each level has ... ...impossible to get all the lego bricks in story mode. to get the 100 percent completion could take a while. Each time you do a level more charecters become available, and each charecter that you kill is available to buy. Each challenge is worth one gold brick and in total there are 160 gold bricks to get. Once each gold brick is collected and assembled you can create a lego fountain that gives unlimited studs which give money that you can buy all ...

Advantages: great longevity Disadvantages: may take an awful while to comlete
...each level has ten hidden lego pieces and one secret red lego brick, which opens cheats up, such as six times score, or fast build. Each time you beat an enemy they become available to buy at the canteen. the game itself is good, apart from once you completed a level you have to go back and play in free play to get the hidden lego pieces. You deffinetly get your moneys worth with the game, and it would take ages to fully complete. Each time you do ... ...have to destroy pices of lego and build some pieces. Each charecter has unique special moves, such as Darth Vader who can destroy things sing the force on red objects. All in all a good game, easy enough for kids to play, each cutscene has unique humor and is a good twist on the usual star wars games. ...

Advantages: 2 player possibilty, funny and enjoyable Disadvantages: None!
...you have not played a Lego game before - all the characters look like they have been made of Lego and if you kill someone, they break into a million little Lego pieces. There is always humor added too but you'll have to play the game to see what I mean. One of the best things about this game is that you can play it as a 2 player online or with 2 controllers, working with each other, which means a game I can finally play with my boyfriend! Don't expect ...
