Unfortunately there is no sound apart from the background music, which does take something away from the game.
Each of the movies are split into 5 or 6 levels. You unlock more levels by completeling the previous level (standard fair). The first time you play a level you are given particular characters to play it with. But as you complete levels you unlock more characters from the Star Wars world. You can also buy extra characters from the shop with Lego coins you collect as you proceed.
There are 3 main objectives to a level. The first is to complete it (obviously). The second is to collect hidden parts for a vehicle. Each level has a Star Wars vehicle assigned to it. Once you collect all the parts, the vehicle is put together and you get a Lego coin bonus. You can also view the vehicle (outside the shop). The third objective is to collect a specific amount of Lego coins. Each level has a different target. This is represented by a handy bar on each level that slowly fills.
These targets mean that you will probably play each level more then once because you will want to complete the game 100%. This is where the extra characters come into play. Once you have completed a level once, you can replay the level on Free Play Mode. This means you can replay the level with a collection of characters, being able to change character at any point by the touch of a button. Different characters have different attributes, meaning previously unreachable areas can now be reached. For instance you need certain androids to open certain doors. Or JarJar can jump higher then anyone. This is one of the strongest features of the game, because often each level has more then one secret area and these areas are normally quite large with much to explore.
Playability wise the game is ace, the new areas making old levels well worth replaying. And you begin to look for areas where other characters can access. The puzzles are original and fun. Often requiring a combination of the characters to access some areas. This is particularly true in boss battles, which sometimes require quite a lot of thought.
But the game comes into its own in co-op mode. Playing all through again from the start with a friend is a great laugh. Especially since the game is so short, so you can really hammer it.
It is the co-op mode and the desire to complete the game 100% that gives the game any lastability. Beacuse its major weakness is that its really short. They skip large parts of the films, for instance they skip the entire underwater bit from the first film. And although very well done, you wish that there was more.
So overall a very simple but enjoyable game with good replay value but not quite as good as it could have been.
Advantages: Fun, ejoyable, must for any starwars fan Disadvantages: slightly basic, not for star wars fans
Lego Star Wars..... Hmmmmm at first glance this sounds like one of two things. Its either a pre-school game for your younger brother/sister to help them read or the importance of sharing. Or its just another blatent cash in by Mr Lucas to make himself even more richer.
I have to say luckily it is neither of the both and is a cracking little title. I think the best way to describe the game is pure and simply as FUN. Lucas arts have managed to take ... ...into the game. You will soon be thinking yourself "I only need one more peice of my jedi starfighter" and "wow look at the plastic wookie".
OK so lets get down to some of the more nitty gritty details. The graphics are all clean, crisp and create an entire star wars universe in plastic with amazing authentisity. The controls are simple and easy, although designed to be accessable to the younger gamer. However overall this game is not dumbed down ...

LEGOSTARWARS THE COMPLETE SAGA XBOX 360 VERSION
Legostarwars the complete saga is a fully comprehnsive game. All six films are included. Altogether there are 36 normal levels and then there are ten bounty hunter missions. Also there are 6 bonus levels. The aim of each level is to achieve four things, 1. being the score to achieve jedi status, 2, completing the level in story mode, 3 finding all the 10 white lego bricks. 4, also each level has a red brick (these enable cheats to buy at the cantina) to find.
These levels are split into story mode and free play, it is impossible to get all the lego bricks in story mode. to get the 100 percent completion could take a while. Each time you do a level more charecters become available, and each charecter that you kill is available to buy.
Each challenge is worth one gold brick and in ...

BUILD AND BATTLE THROUGH THE ORIGINAL TRILODGY
when i first bought legostarwars 2 i wasnt expecting much but when you here that starwars theme and appear in episode 4 you just get sucked into this game with its fun original levels its light hearted humour and all the unlockables this is a game that makes it hard to put down your xbox 360 controller.
Legostarwars has been ported to next gen although you do not see a big diference in graffics between the original xbox and 360 versions on this game the 360 has improved with textures ,lighting and basicaly everthing looks more like its made out of plastic this game not as chalenging as others i wouldnt recomend this to hardcore gammers.
This game is a fun light hearted game which is aproved for all ages and is fun for the whole family with its funny cut scenes and all ...
Advantages: Easy play for youngsters, loads of action and puzzle solving Disadvantages: Perhaps a bit too easy for adults, but still lots of fun
I bought this game with our 4 yr old son in mind as he loves watching his dad play Xbox 360, but the usual type of shooting action games his dad likes playing are no way suitable for a 4 year old. This StarWarsLego game is perfect - I have found alot of the other 3+ age group X-box 360 games are still too difficult for a younger child to play without constant adult help -although the content is suitable for 3+ the controls are too complicated, or the game play to much for them to understand. This Lego game however, has very easy intuitive controls, so the kids don't get bored or frustated because they can't get any further, there is lots of exciting action and excellent puzzle solving to get their minds working, rather than just mindless shooting! They can replay their favourite missions, or carry on through the story. The story line ...
